As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm already in damage limitation mode by not allowing myself to get carried away now. But when (and unfortunately, it is when) we fuck it up, this place is going to go fucking apoplectic

We'll be bankrupted if we invest in the team. Wengers hands are tied and have been for years.
We could never have invested every year and strenghtened each season with proven talent. Are you crazy? What kind of madness is that? Like steveO says... Just look at pompey and Leeds.
Be careful what you wish for.
We have almost finished paying for the Emirates so we are better off financially. In summer we had 70 million to begin with and bought Wizard for 42.5 plus sold Gervinho and a few more, so how is it we don't have money to buy striker?
Still think we should capture Draxler and let Podolski play up front.

Peace
Draxlers not coming, nor is Christmas unless we get some point from the next 3 games
Ozil was bought by Kroenke anyway, Wenger needed his contract signing before he could afford him, who needs 30 years to know whats what anyway

he created something almost out of nothing. he he almost bailed us out. and you don't know if Ozil didn't shout 'mine' or 'leave it.
Had ozil shouted either of those things it would've been a free kick to everton
By the letter of the law, yes, but I can't say I recall that ever happening in the Premier League before?
It happens in pub leagues and at grass roots because there's no crowd to drown our the players, but I think having 60,000 fans making noise + Ozil's German accent + the short distance between Ozil/Giroud + large distance between Ozil/referee, I'd say it would take a very very brave ref (and perhaps one with very good hearing!) to rule out a goal like that for shouting "leave it" to the bloke next to him
But yes, by the letter of the law you can't say "mine" or "leave it". That's true.
not that it really matters as we'll never know and i doubt anyone else here cares, but i had "leave it" and "mine" absolutely drilled out of me at youth team level (and since then i've never played higher than sunday league so it's not like my youth team was anything out of the ordinary, and certainly nothing to do with any professional clubs).
i suppose i always assumed you'd never hear that kind of call at any professional level ever, that putting a name on it would be second nature. after reading your post, though, it WOULD take a fucking brave ref to rule a goal out for it!
