As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A fantastically un-PC joke just popped into my head there. But I cannot repeat it on here. Yes it concerns RVJC and... shall we say... consent...? Oops - I've gone too far!
Come January, depending on how the results go I would go in for Rooney. If we're still top mid-Jan and United are still out of the top 6 I think he would jump at the chance to leave.

Failing Rooney I would try for Hernandez.
How sweet would it be to get Rooney off them as payback for taking JVP off us? Shame I don't like the fat fucker though.
Im just not comfortable with this whole "Laughing at Man U" thread at all.
Different if we'd actually won something to brag about of late but since we won the cup in '05 they've won numerous premiership trophys, FA Cup, Champions League, League cups........."Laughing at them" (out loud anyways like the title of this thread) strikes me as a little premature and makes us look small time (Like Spuds)
We have been in the position they're in now, looking like struggling to finish fourth almost every season for years, while they've been picking up trophys and winners medals.
While Im happy enough to see them struggle right now this thread could look real stupid in May if we win fuk all and they pick up an FA Cup

Think Rooney is a little thick but hes a fantastic player.
Drops deep, creates, works hard defensively and scores goals. Can play up front on his own. In "the hole"or midfield. Just the type of versatile player Wenger likes. He'd probably play him on the wing.
If we got Rooney I'd be absolutely fuckin over the moon.

I don't think anyone does! But, what a player! - gives 100%(ish) every game and can play in almost any position.
I don't think there's even a snowballs chance in hell of him coming to The Arsenal though. I get the feeling he's stuck with moyes & manure till the summer at least.

While I understand the argument that gloating now may prove premature, I think we should gloat all we can, if only to maintain some equilibrium in the universe.
If Chelski, Citeh or us were down where they are, the media would be going apeshit. 15 games, 13 points off the leaders in December and a plus 3 GD. Where are the CRISIS headlines that we saw after the loss to Villa, one game into the season.
Fergie may be sidelined, but the media are still giving manure an easy ride.

Cant agree with that at all.
If anyone has had an easy ride from the media its us and Wenger in particular. If there were CRISIS headlines after Villa then surely that type of headline would be more warranted after us scraping around for fourth place every season with the spuds then gettin turned over by Villa than for Man U with a new manager getting poor results after 4 months.
Wenger has got off lightly for years from the fans, board and media. It was only last season that considerably people actually woke up to his failure.

Are they really? The only thing that took away any column inches from the farcical end to their transfer window was the fact we signed Ozil. Since then the media have been circling like vultures over them and after they earned a bit of breathing space by beating us the print and online media have been printing stories every day about how much they're struggling.

The one thing Moyes can at least claim to have done well is settling the Rooney situation and getting the best out of him - without whom they would have won about half as many games as they actually have.
Is he really going to go and piss that away whilst shitting all over their disgruntled fans by selling Rooney to us? Jesus Moyes may be struggling to come to terms with the size of the job at Old Trafford but naive he is not, he wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire. He won't sell us Rooney, he wouldn't sell us Hernandez, he wouldn't sell us anyone in case they exceeded expectations and it became another stick to beat him with.
