We do. But he can't play the lone striker role and we won't budge from 4-5-1. Even when he eventually gets back to full fitness he'll be a bit part player and remain banished to the left wing.Raggy wrote:russ99 wrote:So, after yesterday's loss, the question begs:

Now worries. We have Podolski.
Peace

Kalou is coming

Re: January transfer rumours thread
Why do you say that? He has played the #9 role before. Successful too.northbank123 wrote:We do. But he can't play the lone striker role and we won't budge from 4-5-1. Re: January transfer rumours thread
Not for us he hasn't. In fact after Giroud lumbering around there for most of last season a lot of people on here were crying out every week for Podolski to get a chance there but when he did he was even worse!Raggy wrote:Why do you say that? Also it's not a typical #9 role, our formation is probably more demanding on the striker than any other team in Europe.

Well I bet you Lord Wenger will not buy a CF and he will have to play that role when used. Agree that we don't use a typical #9 CF and also on the workload part...
