As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Light at the end of the dark tunnel, you have given us all hope in these dark times jaggy, just pray you are correct.
Unless we have sign a replacement first ,we should keep him until the end of the season ,there is NO value whatsoever in shedding players when you are supposedly chasing the title .
We wont get anything for him and 52 K a week will look like peanuts when Giroud breaks down ( and he looks close to it ) and Podoslki gets injured again as he almost did against the mockneys !
Bendtner is clearly our second best striker. Walcott is absolutely useless in the position and Podolski doesn't have the positioning, nor the work rate to trudge left and right across the pitch in closing balls down and then coming in deep to provide a lay off. We can't rely on the ball falling to him on the edge of the area with a sight of goal every match.
It would be absolute madness to sell Bendtner in January, especially as we're extremely likely not to have anyone coming in.
as much as Bendy gets a load of stick in hindsight and yes I know hindsight is a great thing wouldn't it have been or be better to rest giroud for a game or two right now and play bendy, theres no way bendy would have had this goal drought that giroud has just had,1 goal in the last 11,surely nic would have done better,he defo looks fresher and livelier than giroud in the fleeting glimpses weve seen,i reckon given a start he may just do a better job than giroud is doing right now,it must be pretty heatbreaking for nic to see an average striker getting an uninterrupted run even though he is definitely a crock of shit right now.i for one would feel a tad more confident in us scoring right now if nic started up top for a game or two,it wouldn't hurt, giroud is hardly prolific at the moment

We've not seen a less lively player than the Fat Dane since the Fat Russian finally slung his hook. Bender has two speeds; lumber and plod. He doesn't fight for the ball like Giroud, nor close down the opposition and how, based on Bender's career, you can say 'surely he would have done better than Giroud', beats me. Even the beautifully deluded saftm admits Bender isn't someone who leads the line.

Being our second best striker at the moment is the equivalent to being the second best ski jumper in Yemen

I say it because Bendy has done better, giroud has one goal in 11 full games,Bendy has one goal and one dubious off side goal against city in about an hours play,FACT!!
Didn't Giroud also have a goal wrongly ruled offside against City? I can't remember
I think Giroud is a much better player than Bendtner. I do think we need to sign a striker next month though, along with most people.
You can't say for certain that Bendtner would have scored more if he'd played instead of Giroud. Bendtner has missed more than his fair share of chances over the years.
Say Szczes gets injured in the last 5 minutes and Viviano comes on. We're trailing by a goal and he comes up for a corner, gets smacked in the face by the ball and scores. He never plays another minute for us.
Does 1 goal in 5 minutes make him a better striker than Bendtner (and every other player in the world)? Of course not.
Jesus ive only just noticed the title on this thread has been altered, there will be some crying and whinging from some of the precious posters on here.
