Looks decent. I don't know if he's good at making chances, but it sure looks like he's good with taking them.
And we have enough power to make them

Money talks and while a transfer midway through a season is tricky I believe it's possible IF Wenger and Co. seriously wanted him.

Besides, Atletico are in serious debt, they might want this to happen sooner rather than later.

And I honestly think that some people on here are constantly looking for excuses for the club not doing things

Apart from the very obvious workings of the escape clause (as explained to you by MrT), what harm would it be if we made a big bid for costa (or any other quality striker) ? Surely the worst that can happen is that we get turned down by either the club or the player ? If we get knocked back because of a cheap laughable bid (mark schwarzer anyone ? ) then it would make us look small time but if we make real genuine efforts to sign quality players then at least the ambitions of the club are there for all to see.
