I wish we'd put in a bid of ten million for RVP. Not because I ever want to see the ungrateful sod in red and white again, but just to piss them off. He'd probably be tempted though.

Can't quite believe the desperation of the Berba fan club and besides, we all know Arsene's views on smokers.

31 in 56 for Club and Country last season and off to a good start this season, with 19 in 29.

Watched him play a few times and his finishing and agility was impressive.
Ibisevic would be cheap, unknown and unwanted by the major clubs....

He might be coming.

Unwanted because he is unknown or for some other reason?

'Super Quality' Park has been looking very good in training evidently, could well make his season debut against Spuds in the cup........you heard it here first!! 8)

By the way.....Pravda.com has 9......yes NINE forwards listed in our squad. Absolutely no need to buy here, move along, nothing to see....... :banghead:

Looks decent. I don't know if he's good at making chances, but it sure looks like he's good with taking them.
And we have enough power to make them :)
8m. Give them 5 and Park.
But I still do not believe he's ready to be first choice. He would do for a backup.

Might be a touch too low. Give them 10 and agree to send them Gnabry on loan since the Ox is about to return?

Super Quality Park is worth £3m?

By the way, does anyone how much Park makes a week?

Also, if you want these top clas splayers you will have to wait probably right to the end of the transfer window ala Ozil, to get them. But patience and some people on this forum do not go hand in hand.
This exactly. Which clubs are going to disrupt themselves mid season and sell us one of their top players? it's fucking suicide for them.

I honestly think people on here whip things up just so they have something "new" to moan about.

Do you understand how a release clause works? Said club would have no choice if it was met.

Costa is attainable if it was met, we are top of the league in the best league in the world, entirely possible to get him.

I was using the famous SteveO methodology of whether a player will come or not.

Ibisevic is most likely unwanted by the big clubs because he just isn't that good.

You'd expect him to uproot mid-season in a World Cup year and go to another country? Different story in the summer but you're seriously expecting this to happen half way through a season?

Money talks and while a transfer midway through a season is tricky I believe it's possible IF Wenger and Co. seriously wanted him.

Besides, Atletico are in serious debt, they might want this to happen sooner rather than later.

Another option is Guiseppe Rossi from Fiorentina. Currently smashing it after being out for nearly all of last season.

And I honestly think that some people on here are constantly looking for excuses for the club not doing things

Apart from the very obvious workings of the escape clause (as explained to you by MrT), what harm would it be if we made a big bid for costa (or any other quality striker) ? Surely the worst that can happen is that we get turned down by either the club or the player ? If we get knocked back because of a cheap laughable bid (mark schwarzer anyone ? ) then it would make us look small time but if we make real genuine efforts to sign quality players then at least the ambitions of the club are there for all to see.
