Need ideas for a Stag Do in Newcastle on a Saturday in Feb.......any ideas?
Re: Newcastle Meet...
The Gate is your best bet. Loads of bars inside, Tiger Tiger and a load of other bars just outside...it's a shambles basically. There's also a casino round the back, I took a fair bit out of it - not as much as Phil Bardsley did mindBendtners Drinking Buddy wrote:Need ideas for a Stag Do in Newcastle on a Saturday in Feb.......any ideas?

Down at the bottom there are more bars (it's a hill down from The Gate) then if you turn right that's where the "classy" bit is. I use that word with a LOT of licence.
We stayed in the Marriott MetroCentre which is about a 10 min cab away from the town centre, if you're willing to do it that way you will save a feckload on your hotel compared with the city centre. They don't care about large groups either.

Think it was brought up on another thread a few weeks ago, probably worth contacting OP and seeing how it panned out for him. From what I recall the general consensus was just head out into town and wing it, certainly in my experience everywhere will be lively on a Saturday night and ask Skizz says unlike most places they don't give a shit about letting large groups of blokes in.Bendtners Drinking Buddy wrote:Need ideas for a Stag Do in Newcastle on a Saturday in Feb.......any ideas?

a) you'll stand out like a sore thumb if you're not in a short sleeved shirt and
b) the locals will probably laugh at you if you have anything long sleeved on, let alone a coat
