I'd love to see how their wonderful fans reacted to a few seasons of competing for the 4th place trophy and getting dicked in the last 16 in Europe.

He's looking for a new job now after a couple of years of being a cup quarter finalist and not competing for the title......so he's perfect !

I think Mourinho would have take the job straight after Ferguson left, but did the Utd board go for him?

One thing I will say for United is that they care about their 'brand' and have similar values to us. A number of Manc season ticket holders I know well were saying ages ago that they would never appoint Mourinho as the baggage that comes with him (the constant ref baiting etc) and the style of football and general nastiness is not something that would sit comfortably with the United board and owners

Thought that those characteristics would have made him an ideal replacement for Fergie!!

Well tomorrow night we have two couples round ours for a few drinks . One of them is a dour northern git , a mancunian , a proper northern dog and guess what he supports manure . I only see him once a year so i am looking forward to asking him what it is like to be looking forward to a mid table inter toto chasing second half of the season !!!! Have some of the u cant ha ha
