THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The world and his dog (and McDowell AND SteveO  :-P ) know only too well that he is NOT going to sign anyone. And so ends our dream of winning the prem this season......all coz he's as tight as a ducks arse.

None of us are being wise after the event. Catastrophic injuries happen to our lot every season. He should have made sure that he had enough "top top quality" up front in the squad at the start of the season.
As Arteta said today, the title winning squads have 3 or 4 top strikers. It's just negligent management. All that fruitless chasing after the 40+1 fish he had no chance of landing and letting Higuian go to Napoli.
He'll now say Podolski and Giroud will do, or panic sign some rubbish.

When it comes down to it, why would Wenger sign anyone, when the height of his aims, is to finish top four, and nothing else. If we had a manager with actual ambition, we would sign quality players in January, but sadly we don't.

For a manager without ambition, the league is looking pretty good....

So AKBS spend their time saying 'judge him in may', but are happy to judge him in January, when things are going well. The problem is, that an ambitious manager would make the signings we need in January, but this is a manager who talks about having options up front, and thinks Sanogo is an option :banghead:

Having read his programme notes for the Cardiff game I can also report that he sees Ozil as a striker option

Predictable as ever. I remember the fucker talking about 'dizzying prices' half a dozen times and holding up Gervinho as the shining light who saved us from such a fate.......look how that turned out

4 months to go :barscarf:
