The last Friday game I can recall was when we stuffed Leeds.

Can't go now as wife got us tickets for 'The Commitments' in London on Friday. Oh well, I can see us playing with the handbrake on and strolling to a 3-0 win, and I don't think it will be that great a game to be honest, so not the worst one to miss. Hope I'm not wrong!

What a load of bollocks, was going to take my 10yr old nephew to this as thought it would be a Saturday 3pm kick off.

Can't now as it would involve a round trip to Hertfordshire, providing I get out of work early enough to get out there pick him up and then take him home again. :cussing:

The last one went to was the Invincibles season against Newcastle which we won from a pen thanks to that gormless tw*t of a footballer Jermaine penis bizarrely handling the ball in the area from a cross. Terence dinked the penalty and the North Bank went wild. Best atmosphere that night.

I don't think the same will be said of this game. It hardly fires the imagination does it

I know it's not ideal for those travelling from further away, but for those in London it is great for post work few beers and onto the game.

It's not the end of the world for coventry fans as they will be travelling the opposite direction to everyone else on Friday evening so rail tickets won't be terrible (plus it's only an hour on Virgin from Coventry to Euston); not forgetting the hundreds (if not more) of their fans who will be based in London. I'm sure they will fill a decent allocation.

Fair play to the club for putting Cat C prices after having Spurs tickets at Cat A, would have been better to have gone COC prices, but you can't win 'em all.

Finally it's excellent for us as even though we will make a load of changes we are playing Southampton on Tuesday night following it which everyone seems to have forgotten. We will have one more day's rest than Soton (who ply Yeovil on the Sat).

Expect there will be a load of tickets that come up on the ticket exchange.

Ive been shocked at how empty some of the third round ties grounds were- Sunderlands looked pretty empty for the credit card semi too, supoose they were playing a mid table struggler though 8) 8)

Coventry will still take their 9k tickets, I'm sure of that. I have been following the dispute with the owners / council etc and it really is a sad state of affairs - The fans will be desperate for a night out at an Away game considering all the Northampton shenanigans they currently have to put up with.

I'll be going to the game with my son, plus 3 North Bucks based Coventry fans. We only live about 20 mins drive from Sixfields so they've still been going to home games... They get lots of abuse though as apparently there is some sort of cordon where you get asked why you are going. Ok for neutrals and away fans I guess - but not for Coventry.

It will be interesting to see whether they are still happy to boycott Sixfields though if this tie does go to a replay...

I don't like us offering ANY team 9,000 tickets. Why build a stadium for more Arsenal fans to watch the team yet affect the matches that some who don't have season tickets can attend due to giving a lot of them to the away club? Also why give the opposition any kind of lift by allowing them a complete end of support? Look at the difference between the atmospheres at the Chelsea and Spurs games (even before the destiny of the matches was known). I know there is a rule of sorts but it's not sacrosanct. After all, Man Utd don't give over 11,000 tickets to each and every one of their opponents. :rubchin:

This particularly applies to clubs who don't ordinarily get anywhere near that type of crowd for their home matches but will have thousands of glory seekers trying to get a ticket. :banghead:

United only have to offer 11% (not the usual 15%) due to "special dispensation" from the FA. They then cried because a few years back City would only offer them 11% for an FA Cup game. Seems fair to me, seeing as we would only have received a 10% allocation from a Spurs replay (although this was negotiated on a one-off basis).

If United only have to offer 8,500 tickets for any one cup game how could the FA nail us down and say we have to offer 9,000 if we kicked up a fuss? I very much imagine it would be a fair argument to make that policing a game in N5 is rather more challenging than at Old Trafford.

I do like having lots of away fans at FA Cup games but imo clubs with over 40,000 should be allowed to agree in advance of each season with the FA to have their away allocation reduced to 10% - which would allow any clubs they drew to offer them the same allocation.

Like Wigan and the FA Cup Final last year, they should have been given the number same number of tickets as the average amount they bring to London normally. Funny how the glory seekers come out and they can sell 25,000 tickets rather than their regular 100 they bring to the Emirates.
