Abou Diaby - Injuries Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes, that may well be so but knowing Diaby's luck, once he's risen he'll no doubt stumble into a burning bush and spend 9 months in the burns unit! :banghead: :D
Depends which Lazarus.

If it is Mark Lazarus you are talking about, then Diaby will resume his career to score the winning goal in a League Cup final!
Though it will be for Q.P.R.

Can the club not shuffle him off into a coaching/scouting role? Therefore reallocating his salary to another department of the club and freeing up more money to go after a star player.

We're not operating under a salary cap, does it really matter to you, I, Gazidis, Kroenke or Wenger whether he's a playing or staff wage expense on the balance sheet?

I would agree if the club was not in as strong a financial position as it is.

Jesus, even "shuffling" the bloke (if possible) is likely to result in a slipped disc or fracture of one form or other

If he was a horse he'd be burgers years ago.

Steve0, at what point will you accept there is no Abou God, there is no midfield messiah. Come over to the dark side with us Diabaethiests, there is no point in believing :)

This is all you need to watch to confirm that God Abou is still alive and kicking. Sheer genius in some those clips. Nobody else in our squad is capable of some that stuff - not Ozil, not Santi, none of them

Does that make a difference to my point?

Besides, I don't think Wenger has a set wage budget. Looking at the way ours spiralled in contrast to our declining team he certainly doesn't keep that close an eye on our wage bill!

Gentleman, ladies and lady boys of the average Abou fan club . The ' could have been ' great man will be 28 this year and his body shows no sign of being able to deal with the pace and physicality of the PL to date so what should really be his years at his peak form is likely to be further convalescing followed by 'like a new signing' promise, a few games and sightings to shatter the greatest urban myth since Big Foot and then we wince as he some how twists one of those long legs with more stitches in them than Jordan's Axe wound followed by a return to the twilight zone that is our treatment room who in return recommend he should be sent to Lourdes for the miracle that will never happen :?

StevoO, I bet you an oil tanker full of YR sauce for your Fund raising BBQ for your 'Return of the Babba 1 ' campaign that a year from now ....maximum, the number 24 jersey will be retired at AFC after the man, club and specialists decide after one more break down too many.

SteveO, sit down mate, have to tell you something.

Steve i ......mate you may need to hold his hand. (In a total non Thomas Hitzelsberger way  0

Abou Diaby is not coming........(Back)
