Re: VILLA AWAY
That second half reminded me of the glory days when Song pissed away possession ten times a game. If you're going to try and control the game in the second half don't do anything fucking stupid. Half the team passed straight to a Villa player and then, when we got a one on one on the edge of their area we turned back. Tactically poor and endless individual mistakes. Really annoying, but in the morning I'll concentrate on the three points.

nope. and to make matters worse - he then subbed in rosicky - leaving us with 3/4 midfielders as tippy tappy bollockers.rodders999 wrote:Phew. Hope lessons were learnt tonight. Never ever ever ever should Cazorla and Ozil both start a game away from home again.
you should know by now, Arsene Learns Nothing. TM.
Any decent manager would take our team at halftime at 2-0 up and say - "they're on the ropes, first 10 - muller them, high balls into the box, long shots, shoot whenever you can, one goal and they're fucked"....
instead we get "weel, show patience and qualitee and we'll get a goal our football deserves"

a better team than Villa will and has come back to take points off us too many times.

Never understood how people can be on here and watch a game at the same time. I don't want to be missing a second of the game let alone be typing away on the computer during games like tonights.Monkeymaw wrote:You lot on here are barking. Why don't you put the laptop/phone/tablet down for two hours and watch the game having a beer. You might enjoy yourself.

Re: VILLA AWAY
Also why the fuck did we not go into the corner everytime we had possession in the last minutes?

I agree. I've said it before, Santi out wide away from home is a liability.clockender1 wrote:nope. and to make matters worse - he then subbed in rosicky - leaving us with 3/4 midfielders as tippy tappy bollockers.rodders999 wrote:Phew. Re: VILLA AWAY
Giroud is incapable of wasting time. It happens in every single tight game where we're leading with minutes to go. Instead of taking it to the corner he goes for glory from about 35 yards or tries to beat 3 defenders and inevitably fails, handing them one last attacking chance. It hasn't cost us though. Not yet, anyway. But it's something that needs to be drilled into the players.MM99 wrote:Also why the fuck did we not go into the corner everytime we had possession in the last minutes?![]()

You get teams like Stoke coming to the Emirates and wasting time right from kick off, so it's about time we started doing it when it really is acceptable to do so.

Father Ted is not coming back. For at least 24 hours anyway!

I thought that giroud was very poor for the most part tonight - for a start I hate the concept of our (lone) striker out hugging the touchline like an old fashioned winger but secondly, and more importantly, his use of possession tonight was fcuking woeful

All that being said, nobody was as poor tonight as ozil and cazorla - for all his injuries, rosicky will always be a popular player amogst the Arsenal fans because he plays every game with non stop energy and somebody should point that out to ozil and cazorla cos tonight they were slow and lazy both in thought and in movement

Re: VILLA AWAY
Exactly this. Gotta work on that killer instinct, need to be putting games like that to bed much earlier instead of hanging on for dear life in the last 15.clockender1 wrote:nope. and to make matters worse - he then subbed in rosicky - leaving us with 3/4 midfielders as tippy tappy bollockers.rodders999 wrote:Phew.
