VILLA AWAY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just a question to the mods and before I ask the question let it be said I am the last poster on here that wants to cause an argument

Why was teds thread deleted?

I wanted to post on it and tbf he has a point of sorts and I for one enjoy his campaigning posts to rid us of the tyranny of oppression that is the "republic clique of Oireland"

Just asking 8)

The home support was total gash until we nearly pissed it away.

One Gooner looked like his face got gouged by a female steward
Happened as we scored the first goal, I suspect he jumped in happiness over a yellow line that isnt too clear and the stewards though he was running onto the pitch- pretty likely as the team were celebrating 100 yards up the pitch

NExt a woman steward put her hand up to his face, and seemed to gouge it.

At that moment I looked up to see Girouds shot heading goalwards

A lot of fans werent happy with this, several coppers came in as well.

Apart from the excitement of the two goals it wasnt a memorable match really, I thought that wilshere played well, Ozils passes were often great, though not all and Santi was really piss poor passing mode

Surely BFG has to be club captain next season.

Was a bit concerned to see his lower thigh and knee taped though :?

For the record I haven't asked for ted to be banned and nor have I sought his threads/comments to be locked or deleted 8) For me he isn't worth worrying about and if he feels that his role in life is stalking me then let him at it as it makes him look more than a little sad imo  To be honest it would probably bother me more if I was somebody else reading his comments cos it usually has nothing to do with the thread itself

Btw I am not part of a clique be they Irish or not - it has hurt me greatly that I was never invited into the clique but cest la vie

I can confirm that augie has never asked for ANYONE to be banned or their comments deleted (not even LeftyEwok's!! :-P ). I can also confirm that he is not part of the Oirish clique or the general Online Gooner clique as he is a bald bastard. He may be part of g88ner Stitch Bitch's Tennis clique but I cannot confirm that as I don't like cock or have a penchant for sending shit random presents to ex-girlfriends.

Found an interesting stat or FACT on afc.com

We are unbeaten at Vila Park since 1998 (when we were 2-0 up at halftime and lost) which constitutes our best run of matches played at a ground undefeated, totalling 15 - It is actually the 2nd best ever (prem league only obviously  ) to that of the Mancs also a Villa Park.

http://www.arsenal.com/news/features/50 ... he-numbers

It seems that Villa Park is a favoured place for us, Mancs and bin dippers over the years.

The two matches we lost there in the 98/99 and 97/8 seasons were odd though, the 3-2 match in 98/9 season was the Santa match when the parachutist came off the roof and play was held up, the last match of 97/8 was after we won the league and had a fair few second team players. The last loss before those was in the 91/2 season
