As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
We're in desperate need of a striker, Soton look like they've got problems. Ricky Lambert???
He did well for England and can play the same role as Giroud (he is also a brilliant penalty taker and good at free-kicks). He's streets ahead of the Fat Dane, as well as the other names mooted (Jelavic, Berbatov etc).
At 31 I know he'd only be a short-term solution, but I'd quite like to win the League in the short-term.

I don't think so, Lambert doesn't have the technical ability to play our style of football, I would take Berbatov as a short term solution ahead of Lambert every time.
Don't you just love the wording , "The website claims the Gunners will pay €10 million to take the France under-21 striker off the hands of the Ligue 2 side" .........makes it sound like we are doing them a favour ffs Anybody still believe that wenker is on a one mission to keep the French football economy healthy ?
Another day goes by in which the club proves that they don't care about winning the title. If Wenger thinks a striker who has scored nine league goals in 21 games is good enough to win Arsenal the title, then he is more deluded than I thought.
So that's it. Our January transfer business is done. A striker whom we need is a nobody from French Ligue 2. Well done Wenger. You have never failed to amaze me.
