It's a strange feeling at the moment. Yes, we are top of the league, we are keeping a lot of clean sheets, midfield is full of flair, defence looks organised, yet, I still feel there is much more to do. Imagine this team with a Wrighty, Henry, or RVJ? But the biggest problem is the frustration of watching us at times. Why do we piss about so much? Why don't we shoot? If you speak to sensible fans of other teams, they will question the doubt a lot of us have, but they don't see us every week. It's great to be where we are, but there is something missing, and this may cost us in the long run. Fingers crossed, but I think we might just not have enough! COYG!!!!!

Sounds like a challenge from LDB :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Seriously though I'm happy. First half was a complete disgrace where we looked like we couldn't be fucked and let a shite team come and pass the ball around without pressure. But second half we upped the tempo straight away and should have been ahead before Santi scored his first. We then kept the pressure up and scored a second shortly after. Would have been lovely to see us kill them off with a third but we were always in control and still creating a few chances.

Would have preferred the killer instinct in the first half but still a fairly regulation victory with no visible injuries or damage.

No probs. As for the game itself, much improved in the second half, but Wenger would want to be burying his head in the sand to not see that (a) we need a striker and( b) in the meantime Podolski should be on instead of Giroud. Giroud has nine league goals in 22 games now, a poor return for the main striker in a team that are top of the league.

Spot on.But Wenger loves him so he wont buy a better striker in to replace him

The problem is up front, it's such a key position and we're playing with a pole strapped to a trolley up front.

YEAH - it just doesn't feel like we should get our hopes up until we get the results against the big clubs.

did anyone watch that team today and think we'd compete with Bayern, let alone beat them ???

City are showing how poor the league is by scoring 4.1 goals a game and we're getting clean sheets in 50% of our games.

our tactics are just not good or flexible enough to shut better teams out AND score goals.

i see us as runners up this year. Which is great, but still feels like a missed opportunity.

Spot on.

The thing that annoys me the most is that it is blatantly obvious what we need to everyone except Wenger :banghead:

I fear this will be known as the season where we came "so close" but once again Wenger failed to address the main concern!

We have money , buy a fucking striker!

Just home. A win's a win I guess but that was the worst performance of the season for me. Still think we lack that killer instinct to go on and win the league.

First half especially, but it continued in the second, we looked knackered, totally disinterested, devoid of ideas, couldn't be arsed. We looked nothing like a team that were trying to (or even wanted to) win the league. I lost count of the number of sloppy, misplaced passes that either went out of play or straight to a Fulham player. And ffs, shoot you twats! How many times did we try to overplay things when the better/easier option was to put your laces through it? Was fucking infuriating.

We simply don't score enough goals for me, have we scored more than 3 in a game this season? I can't be arsed to look. We should be dishing out hammerings to the likes of Fulham, Villa, Cardiff but we've made fucking hard work of them all.

I have no idea how the nutty professor can't see that we need something else to push us through the second half of the season. This is a squad for me that looks in need of a spark.

Oh well, still top of the league :barscarf:
