As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Messiah returneth to save our season and from the need to spend "extortionate" amounts of money on a striker

Saved.....saved I tell ya. Those 'dizzying prices' shall not affect us. We will stay true to our beliefs and play the internal market, and our 'like a new signing' will ensure the mighty Coventry are put to the sword just like he slayed the giant of Leyton Orient 3 years ago in the cup

Think I would play Rachel yankey and the dutch mare that we signed last week should get 90 minutes as well - fcuk it I would play the full ladies team tomorrow night cos if they cant beat Coventry then they don't deserve to be representing our club

BFG and Sagna should be nowhere near the 16 for tomorrow night either

If he plays that side and we get beat.....what would you say then? Does the cup not matter to you mate?

Honestly, we aren't going to win the league and the VT means fuck all to me. We aren't going to win the CL either - in fact we'll be out next round, so why risk losing the one thing we can win ?

I badly want to win the fa cup but if you are telling me that the team I picked would struggle to beat Coventry then we are in serious, serious trouble

Agree in principle, but I think these 'weakened sides' send out a message to the players that it doesn't really matter much......something we definitely showed when we fucked it up against Blackburn last season. We'd just battered a couple of teams and we're playing well then it was, drop them and play the Forehead up front because the big game is next week. I just hate that mentality

I hope Coventry have lubed up because I still reckon we are gonna smash them Keysie and Greysie style. Mate.

Is this the first time we've played on a Friday evening?

I can't ever remember Arsenal playing on a Friday before. Come to that, I can't remember anyone from the top flight playing on a Friday.

In the early to mid 2000s we played a couple of games on a Friday night, am sure we played Newcastle at Highbury in the pissing rain in our invincible season on a Friday night shortly after Keown at Old Trafford, sure that was on a Friday and am sure we demolished Leeds 5-0 with Henry being unplayable that season on a Friday night too.
