Weekend's other FA Cup 4th round games.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

BT Sport cocked up badly when they gave boring Owen a job same as Sky with Helium Carragher.Just because you have just packed up playing doesnt make you a good commentator,Sky struck gold with Neville, him and Souness are the only good pundits they have. Gray works for Al Jazeera at the moment but expect him to join BT Sport now they have the CL.I wish ITV and BBC would just give up covering football.Sadly we will have to put up with all the :censored: they have as pundits in the world cup.Adrian Chiles and Lineker :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I think Stewart Robson's tactical analysis of games is actually very good. Listening to when he used to do the European games on ESPN was quite informative and he told you more about the game you were watching than the average pundits.

I find myself switching of most of the others because they don't tell me anything I haven't figured out myself. Why pay these tossers so much money to state the obvious. Then you have Lawro who just sounds bored during his own punditry.

The only problem with Robson is he so obviously has a chip on his shoulder that I can't listen to his commentary on us as I don't trust it not to be laced with an agenda.

poor bugger, just seen pics of it., Nasty break I always think of Eduardo and Ramsey when i see things like that :(
Very nasty very nasty indeed, but in fairness the circumstances are quite different, it was Oviedo doing the tackle and the Stevenage player was just walopping the ball as he came in- no ones fault unlike Shallcross and Taylor

Gray is a good pundit but I found him sickeningly pro Man Utd and Liverpool and especially Stevie Me.. Also found his "honest Brits" comments hard to take...Story from his sacking at sky was he was unmanageable , the make up people were especially sick of his attitude. His sidekick Keyes was just a wanker.
Owen has nothing to offer at all, he ambled through his last few years as a player showing little interest in playing and yet he can now add to this fortune by talking about the game.
my own view on pundits is that there are too many of them, too many with nothing but cliches to spout and far too many of them are ex Liverpool players.

It's dreary...one step up from an International break.

The only thing worse then Owen's commentary is his awful newspaper column. He clearly aims for controversy and a 'telling it like it is' approach but he just ends up being very, very wrong about just about everything.

This ^^ its utter drivel.

Why oh why anyone thinks just because he could run well, dive realistically, negotiate top fees wherever he went and had a hard shot he would be able to write well is beyond me
