If it's anything other than new signing(s) then it's a waste of time and effort.

Anything to do with existing contracts could just be made as a press release and fed to the media.

Even though I know fine well it's going to be a promotion for the new puma deal or a spectacular announcement that There's Only One has signed a new 2 year deal I still get myself excited that it will be a new signing.

Speaking of which why has Mertesacker's deal been run down? I'm not worried about him getting dollar signs in his eyes and pissing off and he seems to genuinely love playing for us (and imo will probably inherit captaincy in the summer) but it's just so fucking needless.

Our back 4 has been a huge improvement this season, as everyone (especially AKBs point out). So why is our RB going on a free at the end of a year and why is our CB's contract within 18 months of expiry?
