Bayern game possibly not included as Cup Credit ?

Meanwhile...
Bayern paid 90.000€ to Arsenal so their away fans could buy tickets for lower price (45€ instead of 70) as a thank you for supporting them.
After all, Bayern season ticket costs £104, so one match at the Grove or half of the season at Allianz arena?
'We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300. We'd get £2m more in income but what's £2m to us?
'In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between £104 and £300 is huge for the fan.
'We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody.
'That's the biggest difference between us and England.'

Bayern Munich will be the 8th cup tie if we beat Coventry and are drawn at home again.

“For the 2,974 tickets made available by Arsenal, we have received 18,000 orders. The ticket price asked by Arsenal is £62 (€75) each,” the message explained.

“The terrific support of the fans lifted Bayern (last year). Particularly noteworthy is the large number of Bayern fans who not only supported the highlights, but were at every game.

“The fact is that this loyalty at such a high number of games does not only take up a great deal of time, but it also tears a big hole in the wallet.

“Bayern has therefore decided to subsidise the tickets for the away game at Arsenal with nearly €90,000.

“Thus every Bayern fan who buys a ticket for the game in London on February 19 will pay only €45 (instead of the regular €75).

“This is intended as a small thank you for your great support in 2013.”

Just spotted this in the ticket info for the home leg:

"We have made this decision following consultation with the Police and to ensure we are in line with crowd segregation requirements. We do apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
Please note visiting supporters that purchase a ticket in the home end for this fixture are likely to be ejected from the stadium"

I wonder if this will apply to the block of Corporates that seem to congregate in the upper tier, somehow I think not

Confirmed. If we progress in FA Cup and get a home tie in the next round, Bayern won't be a cup credit hence ST holders will need to pay Cat A prices;

Haven't all of the tickets been sold for this fixture? So if we do beat Coventry, how are ST holders going to ensure they get a seat ?

Sold out includes the season tickets, so if we beat Coventry and are drawn at home next they'll give Gold members the option to buy their seat over a short period of time like they do for the Milk Cup. Then if you don't take up your option your seat will go on exchange.

this is a golden opportunity for supporters to stand up against the inflated match day prices.

all season ticket holders should seriously consider boycotting this match and putting their tickets on ticket exchange if this ends up not being included as a cup credit.

it would also require red members such as myself not to buy through ticket exchange though.
unfortunately there are too many stupid tourists who will snap up tickets for this game so it probably wouldnt work :banghead:

i think you are wrong on this- the fa cup from recollection is an 'opt out' not an 'opt in' so it will be included automatically unless you tell the club otherwise and deactivate - done for obvious reasons

Exactly, you've said it yourself. The camera snapper /match tourist is perfect insurance for the club against ST protestors. Ticket Ex works a treat for them as well as Reds. Won't ever happen with the size/popularity of the club. Kerching!!

Spot on. This is the best chance for a boycott in years. ST holders always say that they can't boycott games because they've already paid. Well, here you go then. You've not paid for this one. Put your money where your mouth is & opt out, saving yourself £62 minimum in the process. Or will you bottle it?

Dear

In case you are unaware, your Arsenal season ticket includes admission to all 19 home Premier League matches, as well as the first seven home cup ties in European competitions and the FA Cup (please note, the Capital One Cup is not included).

Due to our progression in cup competitions this season, our FA Cup Fifth Round tie against Liverpool on the weekend of 14/15/16/17 February is the seventh and therefore final cup credit for the 2013/14 season.

Consequently, our UEFA Champions League home fixture against Bayern Munich to be played on Wednesday 19th February 2014 will be our eighth home cup tie in European competitions and the FA Cup, and is therefore not included within the price you have paid for your 2013/14 season ticket.

To see which games your cup credits have been allocated to click here.

How do I ensure my attendance for this fixture?

In previous seasons, when we have played more than seven cup matches at home, season tickets have been automatically activated and the additional cost of extra matches has been added to the renewal price for the following season.

In an effort to assist our season ticket holders we will be adopting the same policy this season by activating your current season ticket seat for the fixture against Bayern Munich on Wednesday 19th February 2014. This means that if you wish to attend the match you just have to simply turn up with your season ticket and enter the Stadium as normal.

How do I opt-out of this fixture?

If you do NOT wish to attend the fixture against Bayern Munich on Wednesday 19th February 2014 and would like to 'opt out' of this service, please click here and follow the simple instructions which will deactivate your seat. Please note that you must deactivate your seat by 3pm on Monday 10th February 2014.

Important Information for Gold Family Enclosure and Disabled members

Gold Family Enclosure members who wish to 'opt ou' for this fixture must call our Contact Centre on 020 7619 5000 which is open Monday to Friday 9.30am - 5pm (please ensure that you have your membership number available when you call).

Gold Disabled members who wish to 'opt out' for this fixture must call our Disability Liaison Team on 020 7619 5050 which is open Monday to Friday 9.30am - 5pm (please ensure that you have your membership number available when you call).

We hope you find this process convenient and easy should you not want to come to the game.

If you have any questions please call the Contact Centre on 0207 619 5000.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind Regards,

The Arsenal Box Office
