Southampton Away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No it is not. Going 1-0 in the first half to a decent team at their ground 4 days after a cup match is not embarrassing. Losing by 3 or 4 to Soton would be embarrassing. Calm down.

No movement too static. Koscielny having to drive forward to give us some impetus.....Lallana is a fucking cheat.

No surprises whatsoever that Le Clueless is doing his best to derail our season. This time by poor team selection...... again.

Flamini/Arteta slow, unimaginative death combo :banghead:

Still hoping for a proper result regardless, but just fuck off Wenger.

4 days after a cup match? What planet do you live on that makes playing League One Coventry at home on a Friday night any sort of excuse for a performance like this? If we're hoping to compete for the three trophies we're still in we will be playing every weekend and midweek and we'll be begging for a Friday night game at home to Coventry to allow us to recover. If we can't handle that sort of schedule we might as well pack it in now.

And whilst all is certainly not lost this has been a dire dire performance without any hint of a redeeming feature. Particularly grates given how diabolical we were here last year.

and a cup match against a league 1 side....

soton are overrated, they have a few decent players, but were definitely in a false position. they may have been good at the emirates but we were poor. they were woeful against spurs.

bill murray as ever.

calm down lads, we've got the 2nd highest paid manager in football in charge.

he'll give a tactically astute bollocking at HT, make a few changes in formation, sub someone and we'll be all over them in the second half, just you watch...

How many minutes do we waste in games when we should be beating teams of this ilk.
