RIP Thread

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Who really is this Father Ted ?

I guess it might be FWANK
You're not alone.
But not the Fwank that TL is thinking of....
Frankbutcher? Don't think so, despite being a twat at least fb had a bit of wit about him from time to time.
Have to disagree, mate. Being a mod, I had the "joy" of reading every one of The Racist Frank Butcher's semi-literate rubbish posts and I'd say 99.99% of them were just crap. He really was a dullard. :|

Just listening to an interview on R5L with Seeger's close friend and producer. He laughed when asked about any contact with Bob Dylan. Pete Seeger the only guy in music to call Dylan a phoney and no one argued. No doubt Bruce Springsteen said some very nice things in South Africa about Seeger. His adaptation of the hymn "We Shall Overcome" became the standard of all protest marches in the turbulent '50's/'60's of American society, it still is used today RIP Pete Seeger.

Always liked him as an actor, and thought his film choices were brilliant.

Sad news. Bloody drugs :(

He was really good as 'The Count' in The Boat that Rocked.

Bloody shame when drugs get the better of people. Especially given that he had been clean for more than twenty years. Just goes to show that you're never fully recovered from these things!

Hang on, I'm positive I read he died about 10 years back! What's going on here?

You are not the only one.

I thought Shirley Temple died around 2003, and Sid Caesar died in 1983.
