Were we all supposed to be impressed by Palace's school choir yesterday?
Next season they'll be singing Ee Aye Ee aye Ee aye o
Have to agree. Singing "Whooaaahh" over and over for 90 fucking droning minutes is not supporting your team and not creating a great atmosphere. It was fucking tedious to listen to tbh.
This game really demonstrated just how boring our "style" of football is. Tippy tappy passy pass pass at a snail's pace. Reminds me of the boring as fuck Italian football all the "Soccer purists" raged about in the 1980's - 200 pointless passes across the back 4 and lump it long in hope the big lad up front might get on the end of it.

At one stage I counted 8 passes over a 3 yard distance in the space of 10 seconds or so between Cazorla and Nacho. Are we really that desperate to get our passing stats up?!
Anybollocks, a dreadful first half that improved alot in the 2nd with a vital 3 points. Job done.
One thing that really stood out again for me is the amount of thankless dog work that Giroud does. He shows for every shit ball, every aerial challenge, holds up superbly and lays off/links up well. His part in Ox's second goal was top notch. Yeah he's not Suarez or RVJC or Messi or whatever the fuck, but he is a billion times better than the lazy Fat Drunk will ever be. Ox was excellent in patches too and Mert was superb.
Agree with arseofacrow re Arteta. Been one of his biggest fans on here over the last couple of years as I think he has done an excellent job in the DM role (particularly after me suffering through watching Mong slump around the place for years) but I think he is getting leggy and is probably coming towards the end of his career in many ways. Still, I'd have him in there ahead of Hollywood Tackle Flamoney any day tbh. Don't get me wrong, Flamoney has contributed and adds steel but he is an accident waiting to happen every time he's on the pitch.
