Can we do it? Will we do it?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Really? I've just done it and we're 4th 14 points behind City.

Does the predictor give the winning lottery numbers as well as predicting where your team will finish

Anybody watching tonight's game think we are the best team in the league?

We don't have a hope when top teams cheat and prepare for our games.

This squad are capable of winning the treble this year, but for the manager and medical staff I firmly believe.

We'd need a bit of luck, but defensively we are good when we protect the back four and Ozil, Caz, Ox , Ramsey, pod etc are always worth a goal or two.

With the right tactics and preparation we'd be contenders at least.

That's why we should sack Wenger now and roll the die with Bouldy.

Take tonights game, Mourhino did a number on the City midfield, starved any service to the forwards.
Terry mentioned something about them working on how to counter City's strengths over the past 2 days.
Wenger would use exactly the same team/formation/tactics if we were playing either Southampton, Chelsea, or Crystal Pulis.
The big games will be where it will always cost us.

This is what I got:

- 1 Man City 38 91
- 2 Chelsea 38 88
- 3 Liverpool 38 83
- 4 Arsenal 38 83
- 5 Sp*rs 38 73
- 6 Everton 38 69
- 7 Man Utd 38 66

Thing is, if you'd told me we'd get 83 points at the start of the season, I never would have believed you.

Oh, and that outcome is based on the assumption that we will take only 1 point out of the City, Chelsea, Scum, and Everton games. If we can somehow win one of those games, who knows? :rubchin:

Using the "Herdometer" which uses no logic whatsoever and relies entirely on misplaced optimism ,pays no attention to our recent history of choking ,I have us @ 91 points which I think will do it but only just !

In seriousness though last night was a massive boost for us and can only help us !

Our ability to win it may well depend on the bit part players who will have to come in at some stage ,like the rapidly improving gnarnaby and the great Nicky Bendtner who is after his second league championship medal in a row !

Im all for binning the cup and cl and going flat out for the league !

I think the hormone pills from the doctor are having weird side effects !

It's now No and No for me. Wenger (again) missed the opportunity to add to the squad and give us a chance in the run in but now with no additions we will fall away (just like 2008) when injuries, fatigue and loss of form decimate our starting 11. Thanks, Arsene. Worth every penny of that £7million. :x

Can we do it?

I'm sorry, people on here can be as negative as they want but there's definitely a chance when we're currently sitting top, even if its only February.

Will we do it?

No. Probably not.

Im starting to think we will do it  - The crux is injuries and suspensions, to all top 3 teams.

Think that both the Chavs and Citeh still have the capability to implode against the lesser teams, especially with the relegation area so very tight. So far we have shown less liklihood to do, and our defence surely is the best in the league. its very possible for us to whip Manure and The Dippers- that really would put down a marker :?

Wilshere is due back this weekend apparrently, real shame that Rambo is out, I know his last 2 or 3 games werent so good but him and of course Theo may well be the difference sadly :(

Better transfer windows would also of course have helped :cussing:

Will we do it? No. Wenger fucked our chance in January as most of us predicted he would, as far back as October.
