other games this weekend

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

it has to be tactics, shape and preparation.

i did wonder what Arsene would think of these tackteecks, but i thought silly me - he's probably watching a nice play or maybe an opera tonight isn't he ?
Of course we don't change our tactics based on opposition as Arsene says. God forbid we should sit up and take notice of them smashing back 4 past United and 6 past Spurs in case we should go up there and encounter a similar prospect.

Yeah maybe if he'd have played 50 minutes like against us Chavs would have shipped in 6 too.

Whilst he is a loathsome wanker who will sink to any depths.....if I had to pick a manger to get a big result in a game like tonight's it would the Moaning One every time. Wenger is incapable of beating him

Fixed that for you Steve - its the talent of our players that beat the opposition not Wenger. The selection and shape is largely dictated by our numerous injuries.

Read Terry's comments - mourinho spent TWO WHOLE DAYS with the team working on city's weaknesses. Two days ! How can we compete with that ! It's madness I say ...

ffs I hate this forum these days.

I'm an Arsenal fan who increasingly finds coming on here fills me with sadness at the level of negativity and abuse aimed at my club.

I get that people don't like us anymore and hate the manager and board with a fiery passion but I'm not sure I can be arsed reading any of it any more. It's just horrible and hateful.

And the annoying thing is, there's plenty that bugs me about Arsenal and I'm filled with dread that Wenger is about to sign a new contract, but I just haven't got enough negativity and nastiness in me to keep reading this shit. It's genuinely making me feel miserable when I read it :(

Anyway, great to see Citeh lose. We're still top... which is nice.

You should feel fucking miserable cos many of us do - the same mistakes and arrogance year after year as us loyal fans plough in 100 million pounds plus a year hoping that some fucker somewhere in the structure will go ENOUGH !

I was miserable when we turned a 100 years of history into flats

I was miserable when they turned Victoria Concodia Crescit into mickey mouse.

I was miserable when after 16 years as a ST holder they took my Cup FInal tickets right away because it was 'fairer' to the new ST's

And I was miserable when despite the above three, they tripled my ST ticket from 400 quid odd to over 1200 in 10 years.

So I apologise if the only glimmers of light I see in the utter shambles our club has become is the odd moment of genius on the pitch or the development of a young player, because you believe me that is all we have left.

And my sarcasm is just reflecting Wengers actual words - we do not study or prepare for the opposition. He has said that many times - where as Liverpool have a whole dam team of analysts devoted it to it.

I'm sorry but we're a disgrace

I'm with you G88ner. So Many threads degenerate into an anti arsene and anti club management pile of complete ill thought out nonsense in my opinion. I have absolutely no problem with folk spouting vitriol as that is their choice - right or wrong (imo of course, mostly wrong ;) ), but at times every fcuking thread?! Why not keep the hate and bile to the one thread and allow others to feel more comfortable posting?

Just my thoughts of course but jeez, it's a downward spiralling place of doom gloom and nonsense at times.

Chavs won because they played against Demichelis who was awful.

The game might have been closer if Fernandinho had played as he has been brilliant for Shitty this season. Toure was awful too. Negredo didn't look fit and the Chavs played with no fear.

This title race is odd in the extreme so

Shitty will batter everybody but get doubled by Chavs and have an average defence

Chavs have an excellent defence and will probably take 4pts off the top 6 but have sh*te strikers and can't beat teams that park the bus.

We beat everybody else, have a very good defence but get battered by shitty ,will lose to the chavs.

Still think because chavs can't score against packed defences whereas I think Shitty can so they'll win the league just by a point or two of the chavs we'll be fucked
