I think these so called experts in the media are underestimating us ( which aint a bad thing i s'pose), we 're a completely different animal to the teams of the past few years.

Gooners to win this one and with it another statement to those who doubt.
Not to burst your bubble, but do you really think we will be top by the end of the season? Id expect us to beat most of the shit teams, but id expect us to bottle it in the big games, we always do. Even if we beat L'pool, we will bottle it against United(even this current united team).
As for Saturday, its gonna be a tight game, 1-1.

Well in fairness we only picked up 1 point from manure, shitty and chavski in the first half of the season but are still top so we must have picked up enough points against the right teams :rubchin:

Hasnt always been the case at all mate, rather defeatest, though we all understand where you are coming from,

This season, Manure some would say we bottled it, but the rumours of illness and with BFG suddenly not selected may explain it, twas a limp display

v The Chavs we didnt bottle it, the weather was totally crap, didnt help, and Moaners tactics scrubbed the game out, dont think either were a case of bottling.

I get the distinct impression that anyone caught bottling this season will be eaten alive by BFG and the bones and bollocks tossed to Bouldy :D

Victims only got 5000 tickets for the FA Cup tie. You should seen the moaning on their forums. These are a selected few:

"If they don't give the full allocation, they should lose home advantage"

"Practically brand new stadium an they can't accommodate for an extra 3,000 away fans. Disgusting"

I have no idea what the first one means at all.

That is a ridiculous comment, if we lose at the weekend, and City and chelsea win, we are 3rd, every point between now and the end will be cruicial, so to be overlooking games is wrong. Do you expect, what happened in the first 19 games to repeat itself over the season?

All ifs and buts.................If we win at Anfield we'll still be 2 points clear at the top and another game down. However, fact is there are 24 games gone, 14 left and we are 2 points clear. That is no fluke. The media only talk about Chelsea and City and completely overlook us. Thats ok, but why people are writing us off when we are in the position we are in, is amazing.

If we win this game it should undoubtedly receive the praise it deserves because when all is said and done, Anfield is a difficult place to win, they have 2 strikers in fantastic form, are normally assisted by their twelfth man in black and it will put some serious daylights between us and them

In terms of sending a statement out to the other challengers or the 'doubters' (which is most of us on here).....not so sure about that, and here's why....

We have had no trouble in recent seasons beating the Mickeys home or away. I don't think we ever suffer stage fright when we play them. Even the season when Torres was on fire and the man-a-har with the FACTS got them closer to the title than in a long time we went up there and scored 4. Since then we've beaten them at least twice there.....so the win would be fantastic but its been done regularly in the past

The true breakthrough moment for me where I will start to allow myself to believe is if we beat any of Chavski, Citeh and ManUre because recently these are the teams that more regularly than not recently have us gripped by fear and see us play within ourselves. United coming as the first of those games is perfect timing - they have lost virtually every big game this season apart from against us and have an injury ravaged defence and a real shambles in midfield with the exception of Mata. For some reason though I have visions of Rooney destorying us and their usual display down the wings where they dismantle us (Valencia and Young should easily be containable if we're really title challengers).

Beat United next week and I'll think for the first time this season that we've taken a meaningful progressive step. A 2-1 win at Anfield followed by defeat against THIS United for me will be just another sign that not an awful lot has changed

It used to be that the allocation % for away fans is bigger in the cups than it is in the league games so am assuming that is what they are complaining about ? I havent heard of that rule changing so maybe they have a point but I'm not sure

No matter how many tickets they're allocated they'll rush the barriers anyway

I agree with Stevo, our record against Liverpool is good, if we can beat united, and not lose to city, chavs and Everton, then we may be in the final run in.

We have fallen at this stage so many times, it would be nice if this year was different.

Rarely will you catch me saying this but those Liverpool fans are right to have a moan. This game is on a Sunday afternoon against a team from outside of London, certainly doesn't seem to me like it warrants special circumstances to cut their allocation to nearly half what it should be.

Seems absurd that we should designate them an area (Upper Tier) and then claim that it's unsafe for them to fill it. For all the money the stadium cost you would have thought somebody would have planned how to fit 9,000 away fans in for domestic cup games.

If there is an inherent problem with away fans in the Upper Tier for cup games this should have been realised at the planning stage and we should ask the FA for special dispensation for a blanket reduction in the normal 15% allocation rather than just offering however many tickets we feel like. Piss-poor from the club imo.

Who the fuck are you, a no mark whinging fella is what you are, how about sticking to your own ilk and moan with them.

It's quite simple really in what I posted is correct unless of course you are expecting the chavs and shitty to win every single remaining game, now that's ridiculous
