Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

As they say in Danish:

Da jeg var Barn, talte jeg som et Barn, tænkte jeg som et Barn, dømte jeg som et Barn; efter at jeg er bleven Mand, har jeg aflagt det barnagtige.

When I went to the Cardiff game the people behind me were having the time of their lives supporting him. From the moment he came on these blokes - who hadn't said a word all game - perked up and every time he got near the ball thought it was hilarious to shout things like "Go on Nik, skin him" and "did the best he could there HEHE" whenever he fucked it up. They filled every moment he wasn't in possession by suggesting he was going to skin 5 players and the keeper to score, or net a 35-yard piledriver, or some other stupid comment.

Now don't get me wrong, you have to laugh at him at times - it's all you can do! In fact, when he lost the ball and then stumbled back into possession at the end against Palace you could actually hear the laughter coming from the crowd on the TV  But I personally didn't find it hilarious that we were doing our best to throw away a piss-easy home game whilst top of the league. Especially on a stinking hangover.

Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner: 'I have been made into a psychopath'

• Dane fears 'unjust' reputation hinders search for new club
• Striker wants fresh start in team where no one knows him

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... n-new-club

Short interview:

Kinda feel sorry for him but he is the one who didn't want to move because of his salary demands. Anyway I hope he does well in his new club.

He really is the gift that keeps on giving, speaking about his unjust reputation and wanting to go to a club where he isnt known, and then trying and failing to take a photo for a social media site wearing cycling shorts and a robe.

Nicholas dear boy, its not the unjust reputation I'm afraid, its the shitness and overly inflated wage that you currently earn.

Agree with the post above re the hilarious ironic support that he is now getting - its simply not funny.
