LIVERPOOL AWAY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You should. I've bottled it.

And I'm tempted to drink it.

Re your problems on here at the mo, please feel free to moan at me, slate my opinions and generally disagree with everything I say if it helps you feel better - I aim to please 8)
You are a legend Augie 8)

I am just so fucked off, our last 3 years have been nothing but absolute shite, I am by nature an optimist (coming from a huge family who had no money but lots of love and humour) and I always sa its gonna get better, the missus had an op after problems on the 30th Jan, her dad died 2 weeks later and toda her doctor rang her at work to say it wasn't good and she need sot go back to them thursday and booked in for another big op.

In the morning it will seem better I hope but for now I am just angry at it all, we are good people, if anyone on here met my wife, firstly they would say she is beautiful (the most beautiful girl in the world) the second after talking to her they would say what a lovely lovely person she is, the life and soul of a party and the first person to turn to when you need some help.

When she rang me this morning after hearing from the doc I did what I should doand reasssured her that all would be fine and we will get through it, I put down the phone and sobbed because I know what it could really mean.

She's all I've known and loved and I am absolutely lost.

Sorry to anyone I have upset today.
Lefty, no need to apologise, we all need to be supportive of a fellow Gooner letting off some steam when life is shit - despite our disagreements re the team or Wenker we are all Gooners who should stand together when the going is tough.

Hope all works out mate - at the end of the day football should be a release from the daily grind.

This probably won't be much consolation but my best mate and his wife went through the same thing a few years ago. I could never say that I know what you're going through but I've seen it happen before. Chin up mate.

I suddenly don't give a fuck about this weekend's game or what happens for the rest of the season, so it has at least brought a bit of perspective back to this place

Apologies to everyone for being emotional on a forum but coming from a very hard area and being one who has always hid his feelings I just see this as a massive release and your responses humble me no end.
No need to apologise mate. Hope everything works out and your lady gets through it ok. My prayers are with you and yours Lefty.

We have to allow for the fact that if we give them 10,000 tickets. then they will probably have 15,000 in there

I think we'll be in good shape after this hard run of fixtures and i think we can get past bayern.

If im being honest i think we'll crumble in the next hard run of fixtures in march when we've got spuds away, chelsea away, city at home and a if we get past bayern we're guarnateed to have a tough CL fixture amongst that run. That worries me a hell of a lot more.

Managed to get the afternoon off in the end so I will at least be able to watch it in the pub. I'll take a point at Anfield but we have to beat United on Wednesday!
