As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

When you go a goal down in the first min away to a team like pool, straight away your up against it.
euphoricone wrote:Why did Rosicky not start, think his work rate is amazing and he speeds up our game. Why in the world did gibbs not start. Why were we playing such a high line. Why was ozil sh*t. Why is giroud starting when podolski can start. Monreal not good enough. Why do we panic when we concede a few early goals.
because Wenker doesn't like Poldi, hasn't ever, it's irrational.
where's that 15 year old skinny French guy Sonogo? he'll save the day...
We looked clueless today. Ten outfield players who had no clue what to do in order to deal with a rampant Liverpool side and that can only be because AW is so arrogant that he doesn't feel a need to brief his team on how to deal with differing opposition, tactics or styles of play.

Exactly ,john terry in an interview last mon night after beating city said they had spent 2 days studying citys weaknesses and working on how to exploit it ,our genius doesnt don tht, just go out and express yourself pure genius
Monumental session today so please correct me if I'm wrong....
Made an exceptionally average side look like world-beaters. Basic mistakes with nobody screening harmless free-kicks, nobody picking up CBs off corners and giving away needless balls.
Just to reiterate we were playing Liverpool today, not City. Utter utter utter disgrace, whatever your general thoughts on him Wenger was undeniably clueless today. Disgrace. Might be a negative forum in general but are we still going to get sanctimonious pricks starting threads about needless negativity after this complete shambles? Thought not.
Well done Arsene, follow up your proud record of conceding 8 at Old Trafford and throwing away 4 goals at Newcastle and conceding 4 vs Milan to concede 5 against an unvbelievably average Mousers side. Awful.

That's exactly what it was Dan. Each time a goal went in, the only person who seemed to be bothered about it was the keeper. Everybody else just looked like rabbits in the headlights.
There was a small boy behind me in tears when the 4th went in. I know we were in a false position at the top raising everybody's expectations but today was just an embarrassment.
We spent a lot of money today and the least you expect is a bit of fight. That didn't happen until Liverpool took their foot off the gas. God knows what the score would have been had Suarez been on fire too.
I'm not gonna criticise Ozil but something is not right with him. Is it first season burnout? Who knows but if we had adequate replacements then maybe it's time to put him on the bench cos it's not working at the moment.
A fucking horrible day out
Thought the BFG looked disinterested today for some reason. Wouldn't track back a good few times and was cack. Not singling him out coz rest were shite but normally he is so committed I just thought it was very out of character for him.

We looked today like what I believe we are - 3rd or 4th material. At a consistent level to beat all the smaller teams - Palace, West Ham and spurs - but fall short when against good quality in your face teams.
We still don't have it. Doesn't matter how many times Wenger says we do.

Solid at the back then pace on the counter against the carthorses they have defnsively. Surely Arsene? SURELY???!
What's that you say? Have a game plan? Surely all you have to do is to tell your team to go out and play their passing game and all will be rosey in the garden.
Nah, don't be silly, tactics/game plans etc don't exist in our Manager's world.
His only tactic is ALWAYS believing that his team will score more goals than the other team. End of.
As much as Mourinho is hated, he does think about the opposition's strengths. Wenger, take note
Only way the useless cock will score when we have a big away game
Back to having the touch of an elephant.
Newcastle0-1 Arsenal
Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea.
Guess the goal scorer for the Arsenal.
Villa 1-2 Arsenal
Villa 3-2 Shitty
Guess the goal scorer again of the 2nd goal.
Palace 0-2 Arsenal
The second goal was scored by.....
They were all big games at the time. Palace have had a formidable record since Holloway got the axe. The only team to beat them at home since then and it was a London derby....never easy. The Newcastle one as well.
He will never be a 20 goal a season man unless it's a brilliant season but his hold up play is excellent and he is very good in the air in both penalty areas when he gets some decent bloody service.
Anyway this story must be true, it's in a News international rag so why would you doubt it's authenticity. Not trolling you, just don't lay into one of our more committed players at least he admitted today that he was dog sh*t and will try to rectify it on Wed night.
Just as a matter of interest name me one other striker in a top 10 team that has led the line on his own for the best part of the season, with no partner and who has bearly been rested.
