I cannot believe what a shit performance that was, fucking embarrassing. The difference in management was huge, with Brendan Rodgers geeing his players up and still changing things around even at 4-0. Wenger meanwhile did fuck all, only getting off his seat to have a go at the fourth official when Ozil fell on his arse. Then at 5-1, instead of bringing an EXTRA striker on, he replaces one  .

Not a single starting outfield player showed any bottle, they just stood back inviting pressure, gave stupid balls away and were completely outclassed. Ozil has been ***** recently for whatever reason, Monreal got caught napping time and time again and Giroud was anonymous as was the rest of the team.

That game was a fucking disgrace, I'm so glad I haven't spunked 65 quid away to watch us get dicked by Munich.

Thought I heard ironic cheers when the frog was coming off. Was it from us or them. Hope it wasn't our fans even though he was crap. It is a little bit early to judge him but I hope he doesn't go down the arshavin route.

He's got to do better but it might be similar to Pires. His second season was a revelation compared to his first.

He's got the quality.

Only way the useless cock will score when we have a big away game

Back to having the touch of an elephant.
Newcastle0-1 Arsenal

Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea.

Guess the goal scorer for the Arsenal.

Villa 1-2 Arsenal

Villa 3-2 Shitty

Guess the goal scorer again of the 2nd goal.

Palace 0-2 Arsenal

The second goal was scored by.....

They were all big games at the time. Palace have had a formidable record since Holloway got the axe. The only team to beat them at home since then and it was a London derby....never easy. The Newcastle one as well.

He will never be a 20 goal a season man unless it's a brilliant season but his hold up play is excellent and he is very good in the air in both penalty areas when he gets some decent bloody service.

Anyway this story must be true, it's in a News international rag so why would you doubt it's authenticity. Not trolling you, just don't lay into one of our more committed players at least he admitted today that he was dog sh*t and will try to rectify it on Wed night.

Just as a matter of interest name me one other striker in a top 10 team that has led the line on his own for the best part of the season, with no partner and who has bearly been rested.
Giroud is the same type of player as Alan Smith was, needs a striker playing along side him.

So when we win Wenker deserves credit and when we're getting slaughtered its the players fault :barscarf: :barscarf:
Hahaha

Lets get this one cleared up mate, its fans like you and the majority on this forum who have given Wenger NO credit for how well we've played this season, but then give him a good slating when we loose.

Topgoon, Steve O spoke about giroud not scoring in big games......as in big games against big clubs. Scoring against geordies, palace and villa doesn't require top quality and regardless of how important the goals were at that time, they were not big games and you know it.

My stance on giroud hasn't changed - he is nowhere near mobile enough or technically good enough to play as a lone striker. That he could be a success in a 4-4-2 system is as irrelevant as talking about playing wally as a striker because as long as le cock stays, we will be stuck with this b*stard 4-5-1 formation

Yesterday most of my anger was directed at the players and not the manager but last night when I was going over the game in my mind, my focus def took a turn towards le cock. How can a man chasing a game, not change the system ? How can he bring on a striker but take off the existing striker and still play 1 up front ? For years it has really really pissed me off watching him sitting on his arse doing and saying fuk all when things are not going well on the pitch - get up you c*nt and change things about, change the instructions or even just get up and scream abuse at the players cos this cotton wool approach isn't fcuk all use when the shit is hitting the fan

As a matter of interest, list the games where we have 'played well'. Not ones which we have got a good result, just ones where afterwards you were really happy with - in your words - 'how well we've played'. :rubchin: :rubchin:

I may be in the minority but I'm of the opinion that we have done that on less occasions than the fingers on one hand - and that's only if you're name is 'Stumpy Mcthreefingers'!!

Giroud isn't good enough it's really that simple. If he plays better with another striker he better find a another club. We play one up top and if the guy at the head can't run beyond defenders he better be good on the ball, but Giroud is neither. He can play people in at times but when we're talking about levels players can play at, a Championship winning contribution is beyond him.

Look at the league challengers across Europe up front then look at us. We've done well to last this long, but losing theo was the nail in the coffin. No pace up front is easy to defend against.

Seems to me like this team still doesn't really believe they have much chance of winning the crunch games. Tactically we are inevitably found wanting in these sorts of games but even so the level of performance at Old Trafford, here and Etihad were inexcusable.

Christ look at our record at Spurs, it's a joke. 2 points from our last 5 games there. Our fear in these sorts of games has cropped up when we've got near winning trophies over the past few years - like our clamming up vs United 2009, Chelsea 2009, Brum 2011 and Bradford last year.

You can afford a few bad results against rivals over a season and still succeed but you cannot expect to be beaten convincingly more or less every time and still go on to prosper. Look at the seasons where we won the league, coincidence we had good records against the other top teams?

In the truly big games in Europe( the league didn't count as much because for a few years we bossed it)TH14 bottled it with regularity and we all knew it but my point about Giroud is he's not world class but he is very effective at what he does when given service and support. His work rate up until recently has been excellent hence why he has high assists stats. He doesn't bottle it by himself in big games, they all do.

It's like NB123 says it's a mental thing against big clubs.

Take Wednesday as a case in point, despite Saturday's performance we are miles better than Manure but yet we will either throw the game or draw when they should be well beaten.

So what does all this tell us about the current Arsenal Team and it’s Manager

1. We still cannot defend set pieces , Zonal marking still doesn’t work ,and our back four do not have enough pace to withstand all out attack without help from the midfield
2. Wilshere ,Carzola and Ozil are luxury players and we can ill afford to field them all at the same time without workers in the team,Arteta is too old and slow to play defensive midfield without help and Giroud simply isn’t good enough for a team with title ambitions .
3. Our fitness coaching has a very serious defect and is affecting players performance and health .
4. Our managers coaching and one dimensional style of play is not fit for purpose in a modern game, his lack of vision in altering style when things are going Pete Tong, timing and use with substitutions’ is third rate. His failure to bolster the squad has cost us time and again.

The inescapable conclusion is that Arsenal can Never win the League or Champions League until the above is rectified however there since there are no plans to change the order then Nothing will change.

We can bounce back but after a mauling like that I doubt if we will !
