I dont believe wenger on that im afraid. Probably mertesacker will pick up a "knock" and also be back in time for wednesday.
Yeah he did the same with "injuries" to Giroud and Ozil around New Years. Just trying to cover his back in case we lose.

Not sure who would take his place though (Sagna, with Jenkinson RB?) so expecting him to start tomorrow

[quote="Its Up 4 Grabs Now"]I think I'd play Ozil tomorrow, especially if Santi's out. Midfield 3 of Flamini, Rosicky & Ox. Podolski up front, with Ozil and Gnabry "wide."

Spot on mate would be good to see a bit of pace again someone for Ozil to play the ball to on the counter , flamini is key in the big games breaking up the play delighted to have him back , I do rate giroud but recently he's been missing too many chances give podolski a run

It's the fark all cup before a big CL game, so Le failure specialist has a perfect excuse for more failure tonight by giving the subs a run around while we rest up for a Bayern buttholing.

If we have a bit of pace and directness in the team today I.e. Podolski, Ox, Gnabry, I think it could be the perfect game for Ozil. He'll run rings around Gerrard as we did back in November and we'd have the runners to negate any threat that headless chicken Henderson has. It does looks like we'll start with Flamini and Arteta though which has been an awful combination every time other than Napoli at home.

The biggest game of our season imo. By a long way. Absolutely fantastic chance to knock out a team who pose far more of a threat away from home or at a neutral venue. If we get through look at the teams who'll be joining us in the quarters, not only our best chance of a trophy in a while but a great chance for the fans to get a trip or two to Wembley.

This game will be decided by our mentality. If we pick a strong side and go out with a positive manner, we are more than capable of rolling over their overly-attacking line-up like we did without too much effort back in November or whenever. They have dangerous players going forward in Coutinho, Suarez and Sturridge but nothing in the 8 players behind them worries me, and if we dictate the game like we are more than capable of then we are capable of near-nullifying their threat.

If we rest the wrong players, approach the game with the mentality we did against United worrying far too much about losing and start poorly we'll lose. Liverpool's confidence is understandably high and as much as the delusion emanating from that club drives me insane, to their credit they go into every game believing they can win it regardless of who or where they're playing.

Not confident today and not at all confident for Wednesday... Today we are starting a game under the illusion (players and manager that is) that Wednesday is more important. For us supporters every game is massive, The FA Cup is our ONLY chance of glory and we were humiliated by this team eight days ago. From what I can see from the club we are facing the same again today. Playing a team with confidence from a few good results, the (possible) best partnership up front and signs in their last two or so games that they have found their best formation/system. Having said that I genuinely believe they are not as good as the media would want us to believe they are. Their defence , especially central, is suspect and Fulham to their credit done far more to exploit that than we did. Player for player our midfield is better than theirs but while ours argued and whinged and flapped about moaning about non existent fouls theirs set up scoring chances with acres of room to play in last week.
I fear that we are out of the FA Cup this evening , because of handbrakes, caution and the god of Champions League football, I fear by Wednesday night that may be a forlorn hope also.

For those of us that suffered Michael Owen last Saturday, console yourselves Andy Gray apparently is in the box today. I actually e.mailed a complaint to BT Sport about Owen's punditry last Saturday . As bad as Arsenal were , and I accept it is the pundits job to comment on that, the glee and complete bias in his voice was to much to take on top of that humiliation.

DM saying Yaya will start   Let's see his magic (hopefully not just a few minutes before hamstring strikes) on our season final :barscarf:

Come on, it's obvious we'll lose this one, we couldn't beat them with the best last week, how will we with Yaya in one end and Flappy on the other?

As depressing as it is that we've sunk to these depths, could Sanogo do any worse than Giroud or Bendtner have been or Podolski when he's been played up front? If he just puts a little effort in that's already more than what Bendtner contributes.
