They pretty much open when they like, you'll be fine for a beer.
Which is approximately when?
Sounds like someone has a problem :rubchin:

You've got the Hattie Jacques already and the game isn't for 2 weeks

Haha ok. It's my first time staying anywhere near the ground (traveling from the states) so just trying to get the most out of my time.

No shame mate, on multiple occasions I've been concerned that pubs won't open early enough for me to get suitably wankered by mid-afternoon with some tenuous justification of a sporting event. And I'm sure many on here would tell you the same :barscarf: :barmaid:

Which are the best immediately following the match? A mate suggested the Che, and I think I might watch Scum v. Scum at the pins.

Everton FC will receive a reduced allocation of just 5,186 tickets for their FA Cup quarter-final tie with Arsenal.

Blues officials revealed that the decision was made by the Gunners based on safety fears sparked by pyrotechnics and persistent standing.
Talks have been ongoing over the last two days to determine the exact number of away tickets to be made available, with the club attempting to secure the maximum 15% allocation for the March 8 tie.
However, the Toffees have been informed by Arsenal’s Safety Advisory Group, which is made up of representatives from the club, local authority, police and transport that the number has been reduced from 9,000 due to fears over safety issues from persistent standing and the use of smoke bombs/pyrotechnics in the upper tiers of the Emirates stadium.
The safety group made similar decisions in earlier rounds of the competition with both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool receiving significantly reduced ticket allocations.

The Blues did raised objections with both the Football Association and Arsenal over the reduced allocation, but the advisory group had the final decision.

How can a group affiliated with the club have the final decision? Any reduction challenged by the away club should be passed to an independent committee made up of FA and police representatives with written submissions from the club(s).

I think this is wrong, Everton should be given the full 9,000.

How does reducing their allocation help with the safety issues exactly? If just one of those 5,186 fans has a smoke bomb then its equally as dangerous as one fan among 9,000 having one surely?

It's a joke. It's an early kick-off, why do Everton pose any particular problem? If we're going to make excuses about allocation every cup game we should just have to clear it in advance with the FA like United.

I don't fully agree with the 15% rule - imo it should be 15% up until 30,000 (4,500 away tickets) and 5% thereafter.
