Van judas, would you welcome him back?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If RVP wanted to come back... is he the best available striker? would he give 100%? would the players and staff welcome him back? is his body likely to last?

Those are the important questions.

Whether the fans approve of not is neither here nor there. The days where we should hand pick players we like are gone - I want to win things even if we have a few arseholes in the side.
Not this *word censored*, g88ner. We have our pick of top strikers, why should we want to re-sign a back-stabbing, ageing injury prone traitor.
I'll take you word for it that we have "our pick of top striker", but I'm not sure we do.

RVP is world class - there are not many strikers in world footballer better than him (when fit).

If you're right, then I agree - lets get a better striker than RVP! - but who?

If there's no one better, then swallow out pride and bring him back. Trophies are more important.

Even removing the emotion from it: the money Moyes will demand to sell him in the summer plus his wages plus age + injury record. Money would be better invested elsewhere.

While we're on the subject of former AFC strikers we'd have back, Vela is looking quite the part in Spain. Tore Barca's defence to pieces the other night. Looks to have toughened up big time as well. We have a buy-back clause inserted in the deal.

To hear this unpalatable cuntbag blaming his team mates is no surprise. What a prick. Mouthed off to the press about our "ambition not matching his" to divert attention away from the fact he was engineering a move purely for his own good, and now mouthing off to the press again to divert attention away from his own failings on the pitch. He's a selfish self-centred piece of shit. I hope one of his team mates leaves one in on him in training and fucking ends his career. :x

Or maybe Carrick's gobby missus could twitter him to death...

Agree mate but I saw his stats   for this season and his goals per game ratio is slightly better this season 1 goal in every 1.57 games.

I think girouds is 1 goal in every full moon

I would never dispute the fact that he should never have gone to them (twas an awful kick in the bollox to us Gooners) but of course c*ntbag wenker put the wishes of his player above that of the club by allowing him to sign for them  :banghead: The reality is though, that our ambitions did not and do not match his - our ambitions stretch to making the top 4 only and every Gooner acknowledges this, so that comment from rvp was factually correct and a genuine reason for leaving us

That's not the point though. I'm loath to get dragged into this whole argument again as it's been done to death on here. But one last time; the point is why did he not question our ambition during his 7 year spell in our medical treatment room? When no team would sign him? We had the same ambition throughout that time. So why not then? Why only after he had that one great season and suddenly he is now wanted by other teams? He is a disloyal greedy mercenary piece of shit. He is a cuntbag. But I also blame Arsene for selling to them - and his asinine comment to Rednose about how good RVJC really was...? Disgraceful management. :x

If he continues the way he is going at manure he will be out in the summer and no doubt hated by their fans aswell. When he retires he'll have no club to call his own and have legendary status at. He'll just be remembered as the googley eyed keunt that he is :censored:

But again, the timing of that comment doesn't mean that it was an incorrect comment - yes the lack of ambition policy was going on for a few years (while rvp was on his sick bed) but maybe it wasn't as obvious to him when he was on the fringes ? Maybe losing players like Cesc and the lesbo the season before, without replacing them, brought it all home to him ? Maybe because of his age he figured that the time for winning trophies was getting smaller and he certainly wasn't gonna win them with us ?
That being said, it is also a fact that he left when his stock was at his highest and when other clubs big wanted him. Yes he was also a contributory factor to our lack of success during his time with us however both of those facts do not mean that his lack of ambition remarks were wrong. That lack of ambition policy has seen too many of our best players leave in recent seasons and will continue until there is serious changes at the top of our club

Swiftly, the reasons I believe that wenker will sign him are -

1. We need a quality striker
2. Wenger has lots of history of re-signing his ex players
3. Rvp will reach out to wenker in the summer looking to come back and I'm absolutely convinced of that

I think RvP will leave in the summer and go to either:

Chelsea - Chance to live in London again if his wife is keen on that, Eto'o and Ba to leave, and he can play with Ramires, Hazard, Oscar, Willian or even play behind Lukaku if Oscar is out.

Barcelona - Reunion with Cesc and Song (don't laugh) and to play technical "total football" style football which suits his unorthodox game, Xavi nearing end of his career so Barcelona will look to replace him.

Real Madrid - If Morata leaves they will be a front man short, RvP can play behind Benzema or up front if Benzema is out, and have Bale and Ronaldo flanking him.

This would not be a case of "swallowing our pride", it would be forgiving the unforgivable and I'm not willing to do that. This *word censored* is a low life traitor bastard, he left in similar way to Sherringham, and to welcome him back would make us as pathetic as the fucking spuds.
Unfortunately if he does come back I fear g88ner's point of view will prevail. For me however it will be the last straw, then football and Arsenal in particular can go to fucking hell.

Always thought he'd end up at Real Madrid one day but not so sure now as they have so many great attacking players. Don't think United would sell him to Chelsea (or any english club) so I think he either stays or goes to Barcelona. But actually I do belive he'll stay and Moyes has to walk.
