Van judas, would you welcome him back?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Moyes will not sell him to an English club because of the risk he has a swansong season after failing to drag United through the mire like he did with our shit team in 2012.

Could be a stop-gap option for Madrid but I think Italy is more likely. Think he'll actually end up staying there though.

the Little Boy's probably sulking cos fat Wayne got 300k a week and he didn't. When he did get a good chance, he blasted it into row Z in a Bobby Zamora impression.
Draxler missed a sitter last night when Schalke were just 1 down. But Madrid were in another class. Ronaldo and co made my pain at watching Giroud, Sanogo etc even worse. Even Benzema is looking great. They wouldn't want RvP. They have Ronaldo, Bale (well done lad to leave Sp*rs), Benzema and Jese. Morata can't get a look in and he's Spain's great hope at U21 level.
Can't see RvP re-signing for us, think he's just having a whinge.

No. Of course he shouldn't be welcomed back. He is a selfish conniving little man.

He left because he wanted to work with AF and join a team who were in contention to win a league. Fair enough. Its a valid footballing reason.

The fact that they were rivals of ours and the fact that AW had stuck with him through all his injuries mattered not a jot to him. His sole aim was personal fulfillment.

Now, he can see that MU are on the slide. He does not respect Moyes. Rooney is obviously the main man so Robin feels unloved.

He has his medal. He probably still has his house in London. What would suit him better than fall back into the easy life in Colney? He'll get to live in the most cosmopolition, exciting city in Europe, adored by the biggest, best supported club in the city.

He wants to be able to come back, take the front row seat, flanked by Henry, Adams, Campbell, Pires etc as if nothing happened.

Sorry Robin. You've taken the silver. Enjoy it.

Only Arsenal and their dick head fans wouldn't want the finest, yes, the finest striker in world football at their club.

Except when he was there. And they loved him.

But then he left and they don't like him.

God damned fickle *word censored*.

I haven't seen anyone on here objecting to the idea of signing Ibrahimovic.

Changing your view on somebody because of something they did is not inherently fickle. It is fickle if people start saying that actually he was never that good, actually maybe those charges were credible, actually blah blah blah but deciding he is now a twat because he walked away is not fickle.

And finest striker in world football? He'll be 31 at the start of the next season, his body is a disaster site and he's not looked the same player even when fit.

Hmmm. Okay then so if one of your best mates had a girl that he loved and cared for over many years, one that he stuck by through all her problems and hospital visits etc .... then she dumped him and went off with someone she considered was better placed to give her what she felt she deserved now she was over all her problems ... would you say your mate was a dickhead if he didnt want to get back with the girl after he relationship with her new fella turned sour? Would he be fickle because he once loved her but now didnt want to know her?

The fickle thing doesnt apply to me anyway in this case as I thought RvP was prick when he was at Arsenal. He was petulant, immature and injured for large parts of his Arsenal career so he was not someone I ever warmed to.

And on another point anyone who ever bought into him being an Arsenal fan needs to face the reality that players do not think the way fans do. Especially a Dutch boy claiming he supported a team from another country. Being pictured wearing an Arsenal shirt as a boy proves nothing:-

Image

Especially when the wall behind you is covered with pennants of several other clubs. That's fickle for you!

Can't see it happening due to his age and wages.

From a football point of view? Probably, yes.

From an emotional point of view? Bollocks, he burnt his bridges when he signed for those berks.

You don't like it at Utd? Aww, tough shit. Suck it up Robin.

He won't be back. Our end of year collapse would convince him otherwise even if its on his mind now

Anyway, Sanogo is showing wonderful progress. Next week he might keep his finish in a row lower than Z......we don't want to kill his progress

Yes.

Based on ?? Being the outstanding player in a piss poor league ? He is not the best striker in the world and is certainly not a better striker than falcao, ageuro or the cannibal and if you class messi and the ladyboy as strikers then he wouldn't even be in the top 5

Ibra is absolutely nailed-on one of the top 5 in the world, he is the complete modern striker. I know he comes across as a crunt but I really don't understand why quite a lot of football folk I know reckon he's gash.

If he had been one of ours we'd be mentioning him in the same breath as Henry and Lord Sir Dennis.
