As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
We are top of the Prem, last 16 of the CL, still in the FA Cup....
Its different this season...
My views on Wenger have softened...
Cant you just be happy...?
Stop moaning we are top ffs...
get behind the team...
All we need is a top quality striker....
Unfortunately its deja-vu all over again.
#flipflop I dont go but I want those that do to boo.

He'd get a job in France, no question. Ever heard him doing his pundit thing on french TV? Banal is a french word all right. It was quite eye opening. He had a lot less insight than I'd thought (even) he'd have and stated the obvious all the time. I had been expecting a bit more like Vialli, mais non.
Real Madrid - you are having a laugh. Imagine he tried to bring in Sanogo and Kallstrom to back up Ronaldo and co Then again, if they'd like to swap managers, I'd be delighted.

this is the silly thing, you talk to non Arsenal supporters and they all think Wenker is a great manager, its fucking ludicrous,i was talking to someone the other day who played at a decent level back in the 80's,he said I was a 'typical football supporter' as I was never happy with Arsenal and that we won fuck all for years before AW arrived, this is the biggest bug bear for me,people forget we won trophies with GG, I had to remind him wed actually won not 1title as he thought but 2,a cup winnerscup, runners up in the cwc the following season and were the first team to win both domestic cups,at that point he shut up then said 'I take your point'.Wenkers been with us so long people forget we were successful before he arrived, why wont he just GO

The 'handbrake' excuse was not applicable, we were even never a threat.
The 'jaded' line was not applicable, the players had 2 days off (shame they didn't just practice free kicks).
So now ladies & gentlemen, we have the 'selfish' excuse.
Dug up, no doubt because of one move where Podolski chose to shoot instead of pass.
That and a penalty 'gift'.
The man is embarrassing.
When will the new contract be quietly announced?
Arsenal's most successful managers. (Average of Trophies won/time at club)
Arsene Wenger 0.41 trophies/year - 7 in Total
George Graham: 0.67 trophies/year - 6 in Total
(Source: Arsenal.com)
I know this doesn't take into account 4th place Trophy , the wonderful football we've seen, the Invincibles etc but maybe its time to stop viewing Wenger as the most successful. Thanks for what you have given us but football seems to have left you behind. Do the honourable thing and go.
Any manager worth his salt would have seen that we aren't going anywhere and changed things to inject pace today except Wenger. He likes the little pedestrian triangular movement where we are consistently trying to pass through the middle. Does my head in. Also, is it me or is our entire attack set up with players (bar Giroud) who are consistently played out of position?
Today was a complete toothless display and 2 shots on target all game against a team as crap as Stoke should tell you that our attack is very very poor.
I sincerely hope that he doesn't renew. We need new ideas.

To further emphasise the point:
George Graham: 6 trophies in 8 seasons
Arsene Wenger: 7 trophies in 18 seasons
Was it worth the entire decade for the one extra trophy?
Have tried to argue this point many times with AKBs who claim AW is our "most successful manager ever" when in fact that title goes to GG. Is someone who wins 7 trophies in 9 years, then none for the following 9 years more successful than someone who wins 6 in 8 years? I don't think so...

To further emphasise the point you're emphasising further:
Graham only had 3 trophies to go for in most of his time in charge thanks to the ban of English clubs in Europe. And so his ratio of trophies won to competitions entered blows Wenger's ratio away.
