Re: Orcs Away - March 1st.
This is a pretty moronic comment I'm afraid. 1989 lists some strikers that we could have signed and I'm sure they would have all been an improvement on Giroud/Bendts/postman Shat (I accept that's subjective). To not sign a top striker in the summer, or at the very least in January may well be the difference between us winning the title and finishing 5th.afcforever wrote:We tried to sign suares, look around top strikers are hard to sign, unless you've got untold millions.1989 wrote:Not really. If Wenger did the obvious that every *word censored* and his dog has told him to do, sign a fucking striker, we'd be in with a real shout now, regardless of the sugar daddy clubs. The mousers are showing how far you can go if you have got top strikers in your team. Our last one was Van Judas, Wenger has had 4 windows to replace him but didn't.afcforever wrote:How can you come out with that, we played stoke away and the spuds played Cardiff at home?SteveO 35 wrote:Chelsea win, Liverpool win, Tottnum win, Everton win, City win a cup that doesn't matter to the Self harmer
We produce the usual dire display at Stoke
Thanks for a magical weekend Arsene
Arsene can't be blamed for everything, really hope we beat Everton in the cup and win some of the games most say we don't have a chance.
I've not once thought we would win the prem, up against the sugar daddy clubs almost impossible.
Just hope we dont lose out on top 4 to the spuds.
Don't think we will, they are shit.
Wenger out.
Gross incompetence from Wenger.

There's a difference between sticking up for Arsenal and sticking up for another Wenger calamity.afcforever wrote:Fucking red wineChippy wrote:Afcforever, you're embarrassing yourself mate.but thanks I'll always stick up for the arsenal

Afc if the height of your ambition is to finish ahead of the scum then i truly feel sorry for you.

Alas, that seems to be the hope of many an Arsenal fan these days mate.mcdowell42 wrote:Afc if the height of your ambition is to finish ahead of the scum then i truly feel sorry for you.
Think small and everything seems to be an achievement.
Brainwashing, psychology, call it what you will.
The Arsenal board, along with Clouseau, could be running a Middle Eastern dictatorship with their skills, let alone a Football Club.
Re: Orcs Away - March 1st.
Exactly, poor lad. A team with a poxy little ground, one season of CL football and revenue to their name. We get double their gate receipts and CL football every year and yet we're supposed to celebrate like fuck when we scrape into the CL above them by ONE pointmcdowell42 wrote:Afc if the height of your ambition is to finish ahead of the scum then i truly feel sorry for you.
Whoopee fucking doo
Re: Orcs Away - March 1st.
No way could you get Suarez, Falcao AND Cavani for £50m.scotgooner wrote:Clearly will.afcforever wrote:scotgooner wrote:I'm not denying that did you even read my post?afcforever wrote:Absolute bollocks, they've spent more than we ever could of.scotgooner wrote:This sugar daddy stuff is absolute bollocks!
For the money we have spent we are doing very well, no one is saying we need to spend the money chavs and shitty have!
We are only about £50m (yes £50m not £200m+) away from properly competing for the league and that is within our budget, regardless if we have a "sugar daddy" in charge.![]()
What im saying is clearly we don't need to spend as much as them but If we spend £50m or so on a top class striker we would be able to seriously compete with them.
I don't understand how you cannot see that
Spending 50 mil won't help us compete with them.
You are trying to tell me with a Suarez, Falcao, Cavani we couldn't compete?
There is no arguement to be had tbh.

Re: Orcs Away - March 1st.
they spent 100mill, but their net spend was nothing special, and yet they are right behind us, yet they were so disappointed that they sacked there manager for it, we bend over and hand ours 8m a season for 3 more years for the exact same thing...afcforever wrote:Most of those games were predictable, when we play stoke it's there cup final.SteveO 35 wrote:Err, what about Liverpool. Wenger decided not to sign a striker and also to leave our fittest and brightest player on the bench in the Ox
Anyway, your wet dream of another 4th placed finish is still in tact. The Spuds are shit so reach out for the tissues.....the CL qualifier in late July will return once more
If we finished outside the top four, and the scum got in there, that's what they spent£100mil for, forget the wet dreams it would be a fucking nightmare.
as cretinous little pixie creature he is, levy would have us doing a bi better than the current shower we have, at least he has a modicum of ambition, even if it is so he can flog the club to the highest bidder.
CL qualification is meaningful to 99% of clubs...its just our ridiculous current regime make it meaningless for us, by not reinvesting the profits it generates, accept in the mangers contract.
As for those who think AW is going...get real. he is here for 3 more years, we all know it...ivan has said as much. the reason it hasn't been 'confirmed' yet is its all going tits up. i suspect they planned to do it at some high point but as its started to oh so surprisingly fallen apart in feb they are scared to announce. if we scrape 4th and its a big if they will celebrate with the news. if we don't they will just say don't worry AW has signed a new deal to get us back to where we belong...4th. nothing will change till they take him out of the emirates in a coffin or kronke fucks off. AW will continue to meddle from the boardroom even if hes not manager and kroenkes regime will allow it.

Re: Orcs Away - March 1st.
Whilst it was hardly a huge shock that we lost, or that we were bullied, or that Wenger's tactics and in-play reaction were completely useless, I still cannot believe just how poor we were.
Begovic's kit probably didn't even need to be washed, even at 1-0 up they were embarrassingly comfortable. To his credit at least Sanogo managed to make contact with the ball with his effort which is closer than he normally manages.
It's a sorry state of affairs when you see a £42m creative player waiting to come on in a game where we completely lacked inspiration and creativity and know that there's no chance he's going to make a difference.

Re: Orcs Away - March 1st.
We were appalling. No pace. No killer passes. No even half-decent shots. Slow predictable tippy tappy shite that a pub team could defend against. No Plan B (fuck it, barely a Plan A, tbh
). No tactical response from Wenger as usual.
Sagna is back to his indecisive worst. Why is he so afraid to fucking go one on one and take on his opposite number? Why always turn back? Gibbs is the worst crosser of a ball in the history of world football. I am so fucking sick of watching him scuff it into the first defender's shin or putting it out for a throw in on the far side. Sagna is probably the second worst.
Giroud demonstrated (again) very clearly that he is not a first striker. He has zero pace. He does not know instinctively where or when to run. He does well (most games, but not Saturday) to win the ball in the air, but too often 35 yards out with no one running onto his knock downs. What's the fucking point to that? What limited ability he has is wasted in a 4-5-1. He needs to play off a proper first striker. And his rolling around clutching imaginary injuries was embarrassing. As was Wilshere's now standard roll about after every little contact and whine at the ref. Man the fuck up.
Stoke are pure shite. We should be beating these mongs 5 nil home and away. They are one dimensional, extremely limited footballers, managed by a man that is (possibly) the only manager in the world that has lost more games in his managerial career than he has won! Actual fact, that.
Charlie fucking Adam should have been sent off for two sly scuzzy ones. Dirty little prick.
Lastly, honestly, do the Stoke "Ultras" (
) really really think that booing the other team's posession for ten minutes and then screeching like women when they get the ball back is somehow intimidating?
Seriously? They remind me of that scene in the Life of Brian when the guard suspects women are present at a stoning and he asks who threw a stone without permission and all the women screech "She did she did!" in high pitched voices before lowering their voices and grunting "He did he did!".
The fact they can only keep this level of "intimidation" up for five to ten minutes at a time (followed by stoney silence for another ten minutes) is hilarious.
