I haven't been so optimistic since Ipswich Town and Birmingham City stood in our way
We can't cock this one up surely!
May should be a fantastic month for us - the wankathon begins at 4:45pm on the 11th as we claim another 4th place finish, and continues well into the night of the 17th (and for me the early hours of the 18th) as we end our 9-year trophy drought
Still against, but if we win this I'll be ecstatic
Why, all of a sudden, has that issue come up ? Hasn't he always had full control ? Maybe, just maybe, this is a suggestion that some of the control he held for so long has been taken away with one of this season's signings (ozil) ? His absolute power has never been questioned in the past so something must have happened to lead him to seek assurances on this
Agree thats a possibility, Maybe another could be the total and utter co*k up in the January window may have alerted Wiggy that theres a problem (If he didnt know already ), who knows- its an interesting one.
How much control did Wenger have as such when DD was involved ?

Yeah. This is either BS paper talk or something did change this year, but if it did why sign Agonos ?
I don't get it. Dozens of sources have said he had full control - dithered over deals, would not meet valuations etc !
If Wenger is not being offered full control, why not ? - he's had full control on everything else - medical staff, facilities, tours etc etc why take it away now ?
I find it very very hard to believe the Board are listening to the fans, so it must be Press BS surely...
Pretty sure we will win the cup and I hope we do. Also would be a great opportunity for Wenker to leave on a high, I just hope he takes it, there is also the safety net that if we blow it, then surely he would have to go.

I would normally tend to agree but when the fans are booing the performances, displaying banners criticising the manager, marching against the lack of team investment etc then the board have to sit up and take notice.
Then you have the media waking up and being more and more critical of Wengers ways. The pressure was definitely on for a while.
Then there was the most unWenger-like signing ever - Ozil and that good run, then it all went quiet again.
So among others you've got the banner wankers to thank if the story is true.....

God praise the banner wankers and rot in hell to the turncoat wankers
“The danger now is that in Europe you might have a two-tier European Cup. You have eight to 10 clubs who can win the European Cup and the rest have no chance."
Anyone listen to the press pass, on Talkshite on Sunday? When the conversation came around to Wenger, John Cross said how much Kroenke loves Wenger, at which point, the presenter replied, becasue he(wenger) cares more about profits, than trophies, and Cross actaully tried to claim that isnt true, seriously how can you be employed as a Journalist, when you have an agenda so far up Wengers arse, that you will defend the indefensible.
You are the epitome of everything wrong in the modern game. Handsomely rewarded for failure and mediocrity. Making your excuses for imminent failure against a Bayern tonight, suggesting that Robben went down too easily for the pen when, in fact, the decision was correct anyway, thus making tonight's game more difficult to win.
Yada yada yada. I am bored of you and I have issued a fatwa against you and Kranky and Gazidis.
