I'm not saying the performance was great, but this thick *word censored* tears strips off us at every opportunity. We should have been 2-0 up and out of sight after 15 mins. Thought we looked more likely to score than them in the first half, and in the second half we dropped too deep and couldn't string 3 passes together.

Would Ian Wright or TH14 sit there ripping the team like this *word censored* does? You don't have to say we were wonderful you know - there is a middle ground where he could praise the fantastic defending. A man who got bombed on 99 goals still bitter all these years later......oh, and he's a fucking Chelsea fan to boot

steveO in my honest opinion Merse is no different to any of us on here,when we are shit hes pissed off,when we are great hes elated,i really don't get peeps here who constantly slag off the team then slag off our former players for doing the same,its so contradictory,take Robson,he always has a pop at Wenker then gets slagged here for doing it,this place runs on hate for Wenker,we either want him out or shut up,if we play crap or are lucky like today then any ex gunner desrerves the right to say so same as us,im sure many here would be slagging merse to the hilt if he said 'what a show today,arsenal for me are title contenders and Arsene needs to sign the new contract' the bloke cant win,Many here would do well to remember that Merse along with wrighty etc is still one of us,fair play to them for saying it how it is and not be an embarrassing sheep like hoddle is with spuds

The performance was shocking today, but Merson looked gutted that Spurs didn't get anything from the game, even Souness wasn't half as bad in his criticism. Even those of us who get pissed off the team can sensibly point out the plusses and minuses in a performance though. as BFG said he look gutted Spurs didn't get a point......WTF.....Spurs of all people. If it was Wrighty he'd have a grin all over his face. I haven't heard Merson say a good word about us ever. He's got a grudge in the way Keane has about Ferguson, and it comes across as personal and pathetic
