AW's first ever game

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

AW's first ever game

Beeb Sportsday just put out a question for his first game and I've tried to do it without googling it and can only come up with 8 names.

The question is who were the 9 Englishman to start for AW in his first game in 1996 and I got

Seaman,Dixon,Bould,Adams,Winterburn,Parlour,Platt,Wright.

Not sure if all those are all correct, WITHOUT googling it, anyone got the full 9.

Was Stephen hughes on the team ? Actually change that cos surely merse was playing ??

Keown and Merson, Parlour was a substitute.

I went to this one, very good and very drunken day out.

Always forget we played 3-5-2 for his first games, in fact I seem to remember we played it through til the end of the season.

Against wenker's wishes - we had that system in place before he arrived and he wanted to change it but was persuaded not to do so by the old defensive guys 8)
