Re: Chavski match thread.

Last sunday I complained about the practice of bringing on tv5, monreal and flamini because in my opinion it hands the initiative to the opposition and invites them onto us - today we were 3 down and down to 10 men and we reacted by again bringing on 2 defenders and a defensive midfielder, so what is the thought process there ? :? Our beloved leader spoke about this being the biggest game of the season so how does accepting defeat with an hour to go, fit into that thought process ? I know some will argue that we were trying to keep the score down but (a) it didn't work anyway and (b) this isn't a 2 legged cup tie and losing 3 nil gets us exactly the same amount of points as losing 6 nil does  The "lets baton down the hatches and keep down the scoreline" attitude typifies the losers mentality that is rife within the people running our club and those playing for it

Gunner Rob wrote:today was worse than the 2-8 at Old Trafford

at half time at OT we were 3-1 down but still playing ok and there was still a little hope.

today after 17 minutes we were 3-0 down and down to 10 men - no hope.

what is particularly criminal is that this is not a one off freak result - the same thing happened at Anfield LAST MONTH!! wouldn't you have thought any manager with an ounce of common sense would have learnt something from that !! obviously not.

this cannot be allowed to continue. and it is not just down to Wenger. if the board are still prepared to offer this imbecile a new contract then they are more to blame than the manager.
As humiliating as that 8-2 was the circumstances were somewhat different. Firstly, our team was dire (obviously this was Wenger's fault but it's not as bad as actually having a decent side and not being able to remotely organise them). Secondly, the game was ever so slightly more competitive. We actually created quite a lot, they pilfered goals at the end and really went for the jugular all game. If this was the last game of the season Chelsea would have run in 8 or 9, as it is they have plenty left to do this season and were therefore on cruise control for 70 minutes.

That day at Old Trafford was a dark dark day for this football club and our 2011/12 team was our worst under Wenger. But performance-wise today was worse imo.

now that the ref has admitted his mistake does this mean Gibbs will not be suspended for the next match?

today was worse because its on the back of 6-3 and 5-1 losses that we were told were "an accident"....

even if gibbs hadn't been sent off was there any doubt that we were on the way to a hiding ?

imho it was going to be 4-0 or 5-1, 5-2 anyway.

As stated 17 goals conceded in 3 away games against teams we are supposed to be competing with is a disgrace. There is no fucking excuse that I will accept....none at all. Fuck off Wenger and take at least half of the light weight, shitty bottlers with you.

What a disgraceful performance against such an average Chelsea team. I couldn't believe what I was watching, relegation fodder don't go to Stamford Bridge and play that bad and with as little effort. I don't like seeing Wenger getting personal abuse and I think some are over the top in their criticism however he just continues to show how inept he has become. When I saw the teamsheets I could not believe that Flamini was not starting. If there's any game where you need to be defensively solid and guard against counter attacks it's this one. I thought we would go out and look to keep the game tight and possibly nick a goal but somehow we end up getting counter attacked twice in the first 10 mins.

As others have said you could literally write pages and pages on how many mistakes were made from both the players and manager today so there's no point. I guess top 4 and the FA Cup will not constitute a catastrophic season however what really hurts is that this was such a great opportunity to win the title. Neither Chelsea or City have been commanding this season and with just one or two more signings we could have really dominated yet Wenger has thrown that all away.

still numb from that today...honestly felt we were going there with a decent chance...It was awful, men against wimps , losing every battle and losing every 5--50 ball. Not one redeeming factor can be taken out of that game or the performances at Anfield, Etihad or Old Trafford. Absolutely soulless , spineless performance by an inept team and it's joke of a manager. WENGER FUCK OFF TONIGHT.....The money mad club. its overpaid players and its :censored: manager owe us the FA Cup...in fact the club should subsidise the semi final tickets for the fans as an apology and a thank you for loyalty that is undeserved by the current regime. Arsenal FC and our history deserve loyalty but not Wenger and these cowardly :censored:
I cannot talk about the game, what is there to say? We were beaten after 7 minutes, like Anfield a month ago it was over before we started (apart from Giroud's pathetic effort ) . After watching W.Ham v Manure I honestly would now rather Andy Carroll in our team than Giroud. For all that Carroll is at least you get commitment. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

filthy Wenger, dirty disgrace *word censored* of a human needs to be hounded out of the country - we all hate this piece of shit - and he needs to have the atmosphere turn absolutely poisonous at the Swansea game - i will cream myself if a banner is put up with "NO NEW CONTRACT" on it - this lying specialist in failure excuse of a man needs to be unceremoniously booted out with dishonor. As for Bould, he is just another yes man who is also a failure. If he wasnt he would prove it by getting the board to withdraw there contract offer. i am fuming considering we get thrashed 5-0 every week and i should be used to it.

That's uncalled for and you know it

I don't care if we lose a game, that type of language is not on. Just because he is a stubborn manager that's over stayed his time, it doesn't make him any of the other nonsense you've come out with.

Calling Steve Bould a failure makes you either a newbie fan or one with a short memory.

Still 8 points clear of 5th place despite 6-3, 5-1 and 6-0 defeats against the other top clubs

Further evidence of what an absolute pile of ***** the Premier League really is
