Press conference cancelled tomorrow

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sadly now I cant see us winning the FA cup either, its got Birmingham written all over it yet again   , and perhaps some at least of the Arsenal Directors have twigged.
you really are giving them too much credit. if they had anything about them they would have twigged long before Saturday.

I'd imagine the original idea was this press conference would have had a bit of a celebratory or commemorative feel to it because of the 1000th game, but even our mong board and press office can see the hideous irony of holding such an event in the wake of a 6-0 drubbing. Cancelling it is PR standard. When the shitstorm blows over a bit, he'll do the usual press stuff again.

No no, they are obliged to do press conferences the day before games under the terms of the premier league rules

  Not sure I said I give them credit Rob- I dont - at all

Only reason to cancel it is that AW is a leetle bit jaded, that or the handbrake on the team coach on Saturday got stuck on. That or something big like John Cross is signing up for PR frontman :box:

Something that also seems very strange...

Arsenal U21's v West Ham U21's was switched at VERY late notice from a public attended match at Boreham Wood (7.30pm tonight) - to 2pm London Colney (closed doors).

The switch occurred on Saturday afternoon at about 4pm.

It's not unusual for these games to end up at Colney (rather than B'Wood - and previously Barnet).
But this one seems to have been a very, very late call...

Saturday games have Friday press conferences and it is the same structure for midweek ie always the day before the games

So it should indeed be today :?

Tis odd surely for this to happen unless Wiggys wig wasnt attaching correctly after it fell off in horror on Saturday

You honestly think Saturday upset Wiggy? We are well on our way to winning the 4th place trophy and getting our hands on the SnoozeFest (sorry - Champion's League) money and that is all that bald bastard cares about.

the guy knows more about American Football. 6-0 probably doesnt sound too bad a scoreline.

You honestly think Wiggy was lisitening or knew the match score on Sat- Nah he found out that the Arsenal share valuation was down 6 points after we had lost by 6 in a 6 point match, its enough to make us all bald dont you know

Kroenke would be disappointed if we won the league. Financially it's not worth that much to him. It would also meant that we have overspent significantly to achieve our commercial objective of top 4, and it will be far harder when Wenger does finally go to bring in a new manager who is willing to spend barely anything because having remembered what real success if the fans would no longer be so willing to swallow the line that top 4 represents some sort of great achievement and would be more demanding.
