No doubt we'll hear all about Swansea's committed defensive performance and how unlucky we were.

4th not guaranteed at all. Poor performance. Technically awful.

Re: Swansea match thread
Can the people who run this forum sort out this hostgator mess, bloody amateurs.
Imagine if the ref let the sheep shaggers play that final attack....
Wenger is fucking pathetic. It took him an hour to realise it wasn't working before he finally brought Poldi on. There are just too many fuck ups for me to bother mentioning.

Re: Swansea match thread
At least going ahead allowed us to see the full spectrum of Wenger's tactical ineptitude in only 4 days. They were all at sea after going behind, we should have stroked the ball around keeping possession like we had all half and picked them off as their shape and discipline unravelled.
Our decision-making was alarming even before we conceded that goal. There was at least one occasion where both Sagna and Gibbs were in the attacking quarter and we lost the ball in the last 10. There was another with a few minutes left where Arteta raced up to join the 3 players already closing the ball by their corner flag. We gave away the free-kick because we just dropped deeper and started hacking it anywhere, offering us no respite. The warning was there when Cazorla unsurprisingly got exposed and Rangel dithered and picked the wrong ball. Kallstrom sprayed some nice-looking passes but bringing on a bloke who hasn't played for months and months and has never played in a league anywhere near as strong a the PL to close out a game is lunacy. There was one occasion where he cynically tried to hack down their right-winger on the edge of the box and made no connection thankfully and he just stood there watching Britton run past him for the goal.
Flamini could have been a bit quicker tracking but he's the only fucking player along with Mertesacker in that team who has a brain in his head and understands the players' roles. Whatever my grievances with his departure he knows what he's good at, he knows where he's meant to be, what he's meant to be doing and more often than not he fucking does it. As for everyone else it was like watching a team of manic depressives after going 2-1 up. Recklessly pouring forward getting wound up by the crowd before seizing up, throwing everyone back and just lumping the ball up the pitch praying for full-time. It was what you'd expect from Dunbarton trying to hold out at the Nou Camp, not Arsenal leading Swansea at home.
I would say we got what we deserved tonight but we didn't. Even ignoring the ref blowing with them through on goal we were appalling and didn't deserve anything from the game. I honestly think tonight Wenger was every bit as bad with team selection and tactics as on Saturday.

Re: Swansea match thread
If that's the best response that the old *word censored* could get out of the players after their 'long talks' at the training ground then he can fuck off tonight because that performance was a fucking joke and clear proof that he can't motivate or manage them any more. We'll get thrashed by city, probably lose at Everton and all the time, I bet he'll just sit there waving his hands in the air and playing with that fucking zip. Piss off you stupid prick.
Re: Swansea match thread
we were pathetic tonight, the players looked like they actually couldn't give a fuck and don't want to play for Wenker anymore.the need for a new manager is so evident, you only have to look at unfortunately Spuds to see a team who want to play for their manager,we need this badly right now, with our squad we should be doing more than this absolute dog shite that we are being force fed

Re: Swansea match thread
useless *word censored*, be lucky to get 4th place and the fa cup will keep wenger in a job unless he has some balls and decides enough is enough , team and squad no where good enough but who cares because at least the bank manager is happy with over 100mill sitting in the arsenal account.
a striker arsene, a fucking better striker , 3 transfer windows to get one and yet you stick with the French lee chapman in giroud, and a guy who must think he won the lotto when wenger came in for him in sanogo.
a load of bollicks.

Re: Swansea match thread
wenger will get his 7m for managing expectations and keeping us at this level when we finish fourth in may, if it does get worse and we finish 5th or don't win the cup then this will be the worst season we've had for 20 years
