Let's All Laugh At Man Utd! (Merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Whilst enjoying utds failure this season, I don't think they have had to suffer the same humiliation in their defeats as we have, getting hit for 5 and 6 by the top teams.
I think wenker can count himself very lucky that fergie left when he did, otherwise the 4th place trophy would be gone this season.

Things are so bad at arsenal this week that none of us has taken time out to laugh at Manchester United since Sunday... Had to laugh on Monday at Moyes' attempts at being bullish at his press conference when he was saying that United's fans had seen them back to their best in the previous two games...Well Olympiacos and West Ham are not Bayern Munich and Manchester City as Moyes' is in the middle of finding out.

Slightly confused by the headline this morning: "Moyes - Blame me for Man Utd decline".

Uhhh.... who else do you think everyone was blaming, David?

Agree with you..but it's a better starting point by Moyes than the ones we have become used to.

I watched the game last night and I have to say that I thought manure did ok or at least better than they have been doing recently. For the first 15 minutes they were absolutely torn apart and should have been further behind but they settled down and stood toe to toe with citeeh for much of the game. Granted you always felt that citeeh were going to destroy their backline at will but, considering how poor they have been recently, I felt that they did ok :o

As much as I would normally delight in watching Utd collapse like a pack of cards I simply can't get too excited because we are so fucking appalling.

As amusing as it is to see them in such turmoil after years of getting what they want under Fergie, I do think it is likely to be short term and that they will not accept mediocrity on a regular basis.
In the summer I expect them to spend to get themselves back into contention.......unless Moyes is only just starting his "project" ?

I think it's pretty fucking stupid of the PL chief exec to come out and say it is costing them to have United being shit. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but there are literally millions of people who need zero encouragement to cry foul play especially when United get some favourable decisions.

At least he has the refs to help out the cause, so far though ten of them will be in the firing line :barscarf:
