SATURDAY'S PRE-MATCH DEMO...Will you be there?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

SATURDAY'S PRE-MATCH DEMO...Will you be there?

Post by Nick Bendtners Ego »

Mutiny is in the air and it seems the mood and anger that was temporarily anesthetised after the Villa game by a decent run of games that masked all our faults and our managers failings has boiled over.

Will you be at Bear roundabout and voice box at the ready for letting loose towards the directors citadel or will you look at disdain at the 'fickle' mercenaries who should 'f**k off down the lane' ?

If we could press gang all the dissenters on this forum alone, Wenger and the yanks would know exactly what is not required of them anymore i.e them.

So....Will you be there for the match and the protest or will some of you who have denounced the club/given up going until things change for the better be there to fight for what you believe is for the greater of the club?

If it had been held the other night v Swansea City I would have been there - as it is I won't be in the area on Saturday as I always boycott category A matches - It would be good to see a protest at every home match until the end of the season though and you will probably see numbers increase with each one.

why do these protests always have to take place at the roundabout though?
they should be right outside the stadium right below where all the corporates are eating in the restaurants.
then they might take some notice.

All the best to those that turn up but I fear attendance won't be great. WOB still the minority, even if it's getting larger.

Providing you are not causing an obstruction you can protest on the public highway and that's as close as the police will allow you to get. Hence the reason the BSM march ended there. If you tried to do it on the concourse the club would have you off before you could say knife.

Is it an anti-Wenger protest, anti-board, anti-everything?

There is no way that the WOB are in the minority - what I do feel however, is that there is a general feeling of "it's all so pointless" engulfing the Gooner Army right now. There is widespread anger but I think that most of that anger has turned to despair and fans are switching off and becoming immune to it all and I think that any protest will need anger to be the over-riding emotion.

I'm not over for the game (so far this season I have boycotted all games tbh) but if I was over then I would certainly be in attendance and I pray that all dissatisfied Gooners turn up and give wenker and the board dogs abuse

I would love this to be true, I really would. However I fear you have underestimated the pious fervour of Arsene's acolytes.

For every one of us there are two Kiwomya/Icegimp.

zzzzzzzzzz

This is nearly as bad as the guy who is planning to protest with his little banner at Wembley, about Arsenal not winning a trophy, at a cup semi-final - he has some nice stickers as well!! Woah!

I understand views against Wenger, i buy into a lot of them, im no sheep - but honestly? All these protests just get laughed off by the majority of fans from both sides - put the same energy into supporting the team (not wenger) for 90 minutes, do something good with your time.

Saturday is going to a paddlin, we all know that, but its not the game to stick the boot in.

You do realise it is possible to support the Arsenal and protest against a near decade of mis-management dont you?

I disagree, this is exactly the game to mobilise opposition and build the momentum.

Wenger has absolutely zero excuses left - last year and this year - he has 100% control, 120million in the bank, and yet not only we can't beat the top four but we get thumped by them, and injuries is a wankers argument when you've got the highest paid tickets in football and the money and room for a first team squad of 22.

time for Wenger to go.

WENGER WENGER WENGER OUT OUT OUT !

So as regards to the mis-management of the club, are the fans meant to just sit there and be happy with their lot BDB ? You see I can never understand the opinions where fans shouldnt protest - are we supposed to allow the club take the piss for ever and a day ? Nowadays we are told that it is all about the "customer experience" and we are certainly treated no better than customers, so is there another business type in this world that could fleece their fans/customers and still expect them to keep coming back and never complain ??
