THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I dont agree with the view - "we are still 4th"

before it was "we are still 1st" then it was "we are still 2nd", then "we are still 3rd"

it is only because of this stupid CL qualification criteria that Wenger has been tolerated for so long and that has to stop. we were supposedly in a title race - now in all probability we will finish 4th or 5th - failure AGAIN

This season there was an opportunity with City and Chelsea having new managers. Liverpool took advantage, we blew it. It is as simple as that and that is why there must be protests at every game starting with tomorrow.

there can be no more "lets judge him in May" or "lets give him another transfer window". Wenger is 64, he has been a good Arsenal manager but he will not now change his ways and we will never compete for the title again under him.

From this morning's presser;
Arsenal FC ‏@Arsenal 59s
Boss: "People who have managed zero games have opinions and we have to accept that"
The arrogance...

some people have managed for 500 games and still make the same mistakes over and over again.
Arsenal supporters have to accept that.

Paul Scholes played 718 times for United, winning the league 11 times but Le Gimp can dismiss his opinion because he hasn’t been a manager. What a cretin of a man

Yeah we're 6 points off the top now but how many will we be off it by May you Turnip bastard :banghead:

We will lose Saturday but it will be by the odd goal only and he will sign the contract on the back of an "improved display"

Id argue Scholes has a far more valid opinion than Wanker, as he actually knows about winning, unlike that French prick.

I love going to Arsenal games and seeing parents bring their kids to the games and keep up their family traditions. When we had our 2 boys I swore that they were gonna be brought up as fully fledged Gooners - many people around here slated me claiming that the kids should be let make up their own minds but I stood firm cos for me it is just a natural progression and should be as natural as breathing air 8) When my youngest wanted to support citeeh a couple of years ago I told him that he could but that I would no longer bring him over to games and myself and his brother would go to the Arsenal games on our own - blackmail ? Of course it was but I didnt give a fcuk because for me he was gonna follow in my footsteps and hopefully his kids in years to come would follow in his and so on and so on

If wenker is allowed sign a new contract at my club then those rules are gone out the window for me - not alone will I allow my boys to support a different club but I will actually encourage it. That may well be seen as treachery by many but what kind of parent would allow their kids commit themselves to a life of despair following a club who are no longer committed to winning trophies and whose priority is financial gain ? I will have had it with this two bob small time shithole club and wankers that are running it and while it will be too late for me to change allegiances, it isnt too late for my kids

I really hope he fcuks off this summer cos I really cannot take another minute, day or week with this pr*ck in charge of my club

Come May it'll be too late to complain.

I'm dying to see the results of the black scarf poll . That will show if the worm has truly turned.

Augie - it's a shame we don't have an Islington FC or something similar we can lend our support too like the FC of Manchester & this Salford City lark.

When you think Wengers wages are going from £5m to £7m - a 40% raise for complete incompetence . Un believable.
