THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wonder if the "source close to the negotiations" is John Cross. If he was any closer to Wenger we'd need Dynorod to extract him from his rectal passage

Have always been a huge, huge PV4 fan but there is no way I would want a rookie boss taking over from wenker

"The return of Vieira to Arsenal as manager would appease even the staunchest of Wenger supporters among their fans."

Would it? - would anyone be happy with appointing Vieira as manager? :?

I'd get behind him, like I would any manager, but would seem a potty move... but then again, it's a cheap gamble on a guy with no experience, so it's probably right up our street :o

He sure did and I have the pleasure of his company all afternoon

45 minutes of semi decent footie against City and the accident of Stamford Bridge has been forgotten, the shiny new car has been restored to its former condition and is ready to pass its MOT for another year

If Rodgers (who has only been a PL manager for three years) does in two seasons what Wenger has tried and failed to do in nine (beat the financial "dopers"), it will be demolish one of the major planks of his platform, although the AKB will probably be too dim to realise it.

Rodgers success in just 18months also demolishes the "careful what you wish for" akb meme - yes you could get Moyes unable to do anything with a poor ageing team, but you can also get a manager who works hard, prepares well, and uses flexible tactics - today 4-3-3 last week a Diamond, to lift up an average team.
