Season after season, muscular injuries plague us, accepting some players are injury prone, gibbs and RVP. But with Gibbs at least he got a decent LB to rotate with because he knew that Gibbs will miss games.
Honestly we cannot expect to win anything when we can predict our important players will have significant time off the pitch.
I can easily imagine a new manager coming in and not being beset by these injuries, because he'll change the staff the players and out with it, current injury issues.
Clearly playing once a week on average is a big advantage, Liverpool press hard, and that requires a lot of energy. How many teams have implemented a high pressing game successfully??, Barca clearly, Dortmund and Bayern. For others I maintain a lack of the ability to keep the ball long enough after winning it back means players will tire themselves out quickly.
So maybe Liverpool got the circumstances this season, but it won't make a difference to us except being very painful to watch.
Viva City
