Need some help for Wigan semi final tickets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Need some help for Wigan semi final tickets

Post by valdemordor »

Hi to everyone!

I was desperate to find tickets for the semis against Wigan at Wembley and running out of options so found a guy in Sunderland who could get me a pair (obviously over face value). I've even booked my flights from Madrid and sorted the accommodation. He's willing to meet but I don't know anyone in Sunderland who could collect them for me. Can anyone on here give me some help? I'd rather transfer the money to someone on here than him and collect the txs on match day.

Thank you in advance

Hmmmm, it all sounds a bit dodgy to me mate? Are you sure he definitely has tickets to sell? Would hate for you to get ripped off.

I'm not 100% sure that's why I don't want to transfer the money to him

don't do it.

only buy from a registered ticket agency. or meet in person in London before the game.

anything else and you're going to get scammed.

You'll have to judge how genuine the guys seems, but I wouldn't if I were you..

If you're just a genuine goner which i'm sure you are then its not the be all and end all if you don't get tickets and its not a waste of a flight! watch it in a local pub by Wembley and soak up the atmosphere before and after, i'm sure you'll have a great time.

Lots of red flags there, mate.

Probably a scam - I wouldn't do it myself.

I think you'd be much better off watching the game at your house or at a pub if you want atmosphere, than risk being burned by some con artist - especially since you're planning on flying in from Spain. Not worth it.

Nice one mate but I think what is really funny is that the northern monkeys spotted him in the first reply and our boys took a few

Tbh, I never thought they would find out I'm an Arsenal fan,  they caught me, yep, so what? I didn't say I was a Wigan fan and offered a good deal in return. I've already booked the flights and sorted the accommodation, do I still want to go to Wembley? Of course I do! Will I be able to? don't think it's going to happen, what will I do? I'll follow some of the advise you've given me, enjoy the game in a pub and then take my gf to a musical. mind you, Wigan is now on my list of most hated teams!! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Why the abuse? Had to delete a post just now.
If Valdemordor wants to transfer his money to a stranger to give to another stranger it is his call.
There is a list in the Ticket Section of this Forum of trusted users, good luck if you and the Sunderland seller are genuine.
If not then it does sound a big gamble to fly over on such a basis.
If anyone wants to get involved then PM Valdemordor. Thanks.
