Alternative singing section 537

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

[quote="BournemouthRED"]That was my thinking of getting in 537, hoping it should be alright :barscarf:

This is the view from the front of 537. Looks pretty good to me.

You do wonder how lower tier seats are £60 when these which in my opinion offer a much better perspective of the game can be 20 quid less!

Yeah, this really annoys me. There is this assumption that people want to be lower down and nearer the pitch. But the view there is crap so you end up watching the big screen.

For the CL final in Paris, we paid more for our tickets to try and ensure good seats. What happened was we ended up on row 2 behind the goal. Not only were we fucking soaked to the bone after but the advertising hoardings around the pitch were so high that we couldn't see the ball for large parts of the game if it was on the ground. Including the infamous Henry chance in the 2nd half ... I just had to wait for the cheer that sadly never came because I couldn't see below the hips of the Barcelona keeper.

Agreed, but these days you can see what sort of view you will get rather than be at the mercy of the box office. I knew the upper tier was a long way back from the pitch, but also knew that being towards the front offered a superior view to anything in the lower tier that was at pitch level.

When I tried yesterday, I got offered seats in the corner 7 rows from the front of the lower tier for £60 quid, no thanks!

Lets get some noise going in 537, come and join me!

Quite surprisingly there are still tons of seats available in the upper tier. If you are a silver member, you may well get a look in. Gold members only have until Thursday to take up their option.

We have nearly 3/4 of the upper tier allocated.

When I read you were starting an unofficial singing section in 537 I went straight ahead and bought my ticket there yesterday, without checking the row number properly. I'm in row 25 :banghead: ! So you'd better make enough noise so we can join in back there!!

Nice work sir. I hope you have the oxygen masks at the ready, its a long way back there. I assume your seats where £30 which is not bad for a FA cup semi tbh.

So we now have 5 of us in that block to wake up the hundreds that usually sleep in the upper tiers at the emirates ! I do expect it to be lively upstairs this year mind as the silver and red members didn't have much choice but to book these seats.

Please try and keep the noise down. Those of us in the posh seats below would like to enjoy our Fortnums picnic hampers in a bit of peace and quiet

I find that flicking dry roasted peanuts onto the balding heads of the masses below should do the trick!
