I cant see it being that lively on saturday now after yesterdays performance. I think a lot of gooners will be scared of the consequences of losing. Still perhaps the optimism will return after a few beers !topgoon wrote:nut flush gooner wrote:Does anyone want to start drinking now after todays joke performance.![]()

A few years back West Ham played Blackpool in the playoffs. They took over the Baker Street area and imagine we will do the same on Saturday.
The Globe is far too small to accommodate the numbers which may descend on the pub.
If you head up Baker Street, towards the west end, there are few good pubs, such as The Appollo, the Beehive and the Barley Mow.
These were packed with West Ham, and expect the same.
You could head eastwards towards Marylebone, where there are few nice pubs, but all v expensive.
Otherwise, you could head towards Marylebone station, which is west of Baker Street. The Allsop Arms and the Marylebone Bar and Grill will be rammed.
Forget all the gloom of yesterday. Come Saturday, the area will be buzzing.
I can't to get drinking....midday start for me..
Yep, appreciate everyone will head to the Globe, but the police for the west ham game closed access to the pub early and were getting heavy handed with anyone walking around with a can of beer in their hand.nut flush gooner wrote:LaughingGooner wrote:I live pretty near to Baker Street, so know many of the pubs.

Yes but the globe is the nearest to the station and will be the magnet for most gooners, stumble out the pub onto the train and off too wembley. The pubs down the side streets wont have the same atmosphere as the globe either, if it gets too rammed and you cant get a beer, there's tons of offies in the area and a tescos round the corner.
We will be there for 12:30 at the latest, so dont expect not to get in !LaughingGooner wrote:Yep, appreciate everyone will head to the Globe, but the police for the west ham game closed access to the pub early and were getting heavy handed with anyone walking around with a can of beer in their hand.nut flush gooner wrote:LaughingGooner wrote:I live pretty near to Baker Street, so know many of the pubs.

Believe me, all the pubs in that area will be packed and they should be a good atmosphere in all of them.

F=ck any negativity following yesterday, am going to have a great afternoon drinking before the game.
Catching up with old friends and the feel good factor will grow..........until Nacho is named as full back.....
Not risking it so will leave the globe just before 4pm. Should get to the ground in good time then.Gunner Rob wrote:what time is everyone thinking of actually getting up to Wembley?
Yeah I saw that, but can you imagine how busy wembley is gonna be with only half a dozen pubs servicing tens of thousands of gooners. The globe baker street all the way imo.Daycat wrote:For anyone whos not heading towards Baker Street, Arsenal.com have the list of pubs in Wembley designated for Arsenal supporters
