I think Sunday saw him reach his limit. He is now pretty much saying this should be his last season. If we lose to Wigan he should go, if we don't win the FA Cup, he should go and even if we win the FA Cup he should go out on that high. He's even against seeing him move 'upstairs' like Ferguson. What he is uncomfortable about is being bracketed with the ferverent anti-Wenger faction who want the same thing as he does now. But he has definitely turned.augie wrote: I get that I really do, but shouldnt there be a limit on how many excuses a guy can accept/generate ? Surely you would question somebodies state of mind or perspective if they continually find ways of defending the indefensible ?
That defeat was in a way much worse than the 6-3 the 5-1 and the 6-0 as it was Everton, and there was absolutely no fight, no resistance whatsoever either on the pitch or on the bench. In a way, being beated so comprehensively by a team that had previously had a long serving and respected manager who kept the side at a level but couldn't push on from that level but has now got a new manager and has been able to make a leap forward in it's play is a perfect message, a wake-up call, a road-map.
