FA Youth Cup Semi v Chavs

Post by topgoon »

The 1st leg of the youth FA cup semi at Stamford Bridge against the chavs is starting now.. 2nd leg is at the Grove and is live on ITV4 next week.

Maureen will be there according to the twitter feed so I'm sure we'll get dicked but might give us a chance to see if Akpom is any good or just another all mouth player. Granted he did very well against Everton youth when they beat them 3-1 in the quarter final. Jebb is also a decent one in that squad.

We've also got Zelalem in the middle who is going to get seriously bullied by chavs big boys in the middle....anyway cricfree tv are supposed to have a stream starting at 7pm, kick off 7:05pm f anyone wants some pre-FA cup semi humiliation :(

0-1 Akpom just scored an absolute f**king belter of a goal, he is been foraging up front on his own most of the game but pulls this out from a long pont upfield drifts in from the RW TH14 style and fires a shot into the roof of the het from a very tight angle. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Just like the seniors Zelalem gives the ball away cheaply when we are overloaded upfront trying to get a 2nd 1-1 :banghead:

Don't care how technically gifted Zelalem is, he is another one of those players you wouldn't trust away from home because he gives the ball away in awful positions from slly passes, trying to be too clever.

2-1 now, normal bottling service is resumed. :banghead:

Why does Akppm not get a run out for the first team

God knows he's done more up front by himself than Giroud has done for about 3 months now.

The game showed why we could get a million players in the transfer window but mentality, style of play and the way the teams set up is being decided by the Man and it is ruining the club.

The ease that they give leads away and then become like headless chickens is bizarre as it runs through all the teams.

Got a ticket for next week so fingers crossed but doubt it'll be a different result from tonight

I watched him in the Everton youth game, all sideways passes and backwards,Jebb was the much more positive player in my humble opinion,

Akpom scored a beauty that night too,

Genuine question, are you basing that on having watched him in the the reserves/academy. I've seen him probably 4 or 5 times and he has looked decent enough. Not to be leading the line but his 1st touch is better than De la Soul and he has a good eye for goal.

If you've seen more of him, then I bow to your superior knowledge.

Vickers will fit right in with our current crop of keepers.
